West Valley Community Services of Santa Clara County Inc

West Valley Community Services is fighting poverty by providing critical food, housing, and support services to the low income and homeless individuals and families living in Cupertino, Saratoga, West San Jose, Monte Sereno, and Los Gatos. Their MISSION is to unite the community to fight hunger and homelessness. Their VISION is a community where every person has food on the table and every person has a roof over their head. Their work is fueled by five core VALUES: compassion, dignity, integrity, service, and diversity.

Citizens Inn

At Citizens Inn, we work on an individual basis to help families and individuals who are experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity. Our full spectrum of services provides comprehensive assistance to each person based on their specific needs. Citizens Inn has served families and individuals across the North Shore for over 39 years. Our programs – Citizens Inn Between, Citizens Inn Transition, Citizens Inn Homes, and Citizens Inn Haven from Hunger – are designed to help families and individuals prepare for and transition to a sustainable life. Through our work, we not only provide a safe place to stay and a meal on the table, but offer tools to empower families and individuals to find permanent solutions to break the patterns of instability in their lives.

Furniture Sharehouse

Our vision is that every child should have a bed to sleep in. Every family should have a table to gather around for meals. Every adult should have a comfortable place to sit after a long day at work, or when recovering from illness or surgery. Furniture Sharehouse (FS), Westchester County's first and only furniture bank, "nourishes" families by helping them turn empty apartments into real homes. Furniture Sharehouse collects gently-used furniture from the public and redistributes these pieces for free to impoverished Westchester families, enabling them to create a comfortable, stable home where they can rebuild their lives. Basic furnishings are the foundations of a home, helping people regain self-respect, dignity, and most of all, hope for the future.
