The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves its mission through a continuum of services comprised of street outreach, a range of supportive housing, and comprehensive services. We address the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood-based affordable housing, economic development, and environmental enhancement programs, as well as through providing access to employment opportunities; adult and youth education; and health care. Project HOME is committed to social and political advocacy. An integral part of our work is education about the realities of homelessness and poverty and vigorous advocacy on behalf of and with homeless and low-income persons for more just and humane public policies. Project HOME is committed to nurturing a spirit of community among persons from all walks of life, all of whom have a role to play in making this a more just and compassionate society.

The mission of Birthday Wishes is to improve and empower the lives of homeless children and their families by providing joy, play and hope through the magic of a birthday party. Our goal is to ensure that children experiencing the trauma of homelessness have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday joyfully, surrounded by family, friends and others who care.

The Ruth Ellis Center (REC), incorporated in 1999, is a youth social services agency with a mission “to provide short-term and long-term residential safe space and support services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.” As LGBTQ youth continue to be disproportionately affected by homelessness, the Ruth Ellis Center remains dedicated to ensuring that these vulnerable youth and young adults receive the services and inherent protections available to all citizens. While the Center emphasizes serving LGBTQ youth who are often ostracized, shamed, and denied services by other agencies, no youth, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation is turned away or denied services

Every 13 minutes a woman dies from breast cancer. Each year in the United States alone, more than 275,000 women and hundreds of men are diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 42,000 die from the disease. Another 3 million people are living with the disease. The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund's mission is to end breast cancer by increasing federal funding for breast cancer research, creating access to breast and cervical cancer care for underserved and uninsured women, and training advocates to play an active role wherever breast cancer decisions are made.

We believe that proper hygiene is a basic human right that should be available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Unfortunately, many people don't have regular access to essential hygiene products or can't afford them, which can have a significant impact on their self-esteem and overall health. At CareBag Inc., we are committed to helping those who are struggling with hygiene insecurity. Our mission is to provide school-aged children and young adults in need with essential hygiene products to support their health, boost their confidence, and improve their hygiene education. We understand that it's challenging for some individuals to get the items they need to feel clean and healthy, which is why we have two mobile shower units and a mobile hygiene pantry to help meet their needs. Our vision for the future is that everyone living in the US has access to essential hygiene products to feel their best and live their lives to the fullest. Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted, custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple amputations, partial or full paralysis, blindness, or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes are no cost to our Veterans and allows them to start restoring some of the freedom and independence that they sacrificed defending ours, all while enabling them to focus on their family, recovery, and moving forward. Our HFOT family continues its relationship with our Veterans even after the home is completed and donated to them. We assist our Heroes with rebuilding their lives after the keys are handed over.

Mighty Hero Homes exist to eradicate veteran homelessness by providing affordable, permanent homes to all homeless veterans in safe environments with a full array of on-Base amenities and wraparound services. Homeless to Home Ownership is the objective for each Base resident. Because They Deserve Better! It is time to end the institution of veteran homelessness. Measurable generational change will occur in hundreds of American cities because of the infusion of healthy, hopeful, and productive American heroes in the communities where Mighty Hero Home Bases are installed. Veterans will become vital contributors in the societies that welcome, support, and embrace their residency. Mighty Hero Home Bases will provide Base residents with employment opportunities, health care and wellness services, and other amenities such as a commissary, gardens, green space, indoor and outdoor congregation areas, etc. Support from the communities where the Bases are built is mission critical. As such, Mighty Hero Homes will recruit and empower local businesses, churches, and other civic organizations to sponsor each Base resident.

Alexandria House is a transitional residence and house of hospitality providing safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to permanent housing. Located in the densely populated and ethnically diverse mid-Wilshire area, Alexandria House also serves its broader neighborhood community by providing educational, cultural, and enrichment opportunities for residents and neighbors alike.
