Together with Israel's Ministry of Welfare, we at Global Jewish Assistance send out Food Cards to the needy in Israel. These debit like cards allow those struggling to purchase basic foods like everybody else in the supermarket, with their DIGNITY and without shame. We are so appreciative to all who contribute to our cause of feeding our hungry brethren in the Holy Land.

We envision a vibrant local food system where Vermonters of all ages experience the benefits of community, school, and neighborhood gardening and become healthier through improved diets, exercise, and positive social interactions.
The Golden Backpack Program (GBP) helps feed students in need by providing a sack full of enough food to feed a child for the entire weekend so that when they return to school each Monday, they arrive ready to learn because they had food over the weekend. Currently, the GBP provides assistance to about 150 students in nine local schools, including Mitchell Elementary, Shelton Elementary, Welchester Elementary, Kyffin Elementary, Free Horizon Montessori, Compass Montessori, Connections Learning Center, Bell Middle School and Golden High School. GBP also runs a Fresh Food Co-Op; providing rescue food from local grocery stores to families in need.
FamilyWorks, a food bank and family center, nourishes and strengthens individuals and families by connecting people with support, resources and community.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith-based volunteer organization that offers relational support and direct aid to those in need across nine counties in North Texas. The Society provides short-term financial, material and emotional support. People are empowered to reach the goal of self-sufficiency through advocacy, education and referrals. Inspired by Gospel values, members grow spiritually through person-to-person service to all in need. Through systemic change, the Society promotes dignity, alleviates suffering and distress, and addresses the conditions that cause the person to need assistance.
