The Enfield Food Shelf collects, prepares, and distributes groceries and essential household items to Enfield residents facing food insecurity. It operates a “choice pantry” (grocery‑style shopping), runs a mobile pantry and home deliveries when needed, and supplements food assistance with personal‑care and household items.

Student LunchBox is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2020 to promote college excellence through comprehensive basic needs support. Using innovative resource recovery initiatives, SLB addresses food insecurity and hunger by providing nutritious meals and essential supplies to economically disadvantaged college students across Los Angeles County, enabling them to focus on their education and reach their full academic potential. SLB’s mission is rooted in the belief that students should not choose between education and basic needs. Unlike other support systems, we are a college community-led, impact-focused, and sustainability-driven organization, reaching thousands of students through strategic campus partnerships to address the pivotal challenges of financial and food insecurity.
Our mission is to meet the emergency food needs of our community through our weekly food distributions, home delivery to elderly clients, our hot lunch program and our monthly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables on Produce Day. Through our Common Community Program, we help individuals and families address the root causes of food insecurity and poverty by assisting with benefit applications, job searches, housing issues and services to the homeless. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have both a client emergency assistance fund and an I Am Your Neighbor Housing Assistance Fund to address clients’ emergency needs.
Kansas City Community Gardens helps low‑income households, community groups, and schools in the Kansas City metro grow their own fruits and vegetables by providing low‑cost seeds and plants, technical assistance, garden plots/raised beds, and free educational workshops — with the goal of improving nutrition, reducing food costs, and strengthening community food access.
The Poverello Center operates an emergency shelter and food programs and provides outreach, case management, medical-respite, and veteran services to people experiencing homelessness or hunger in Missoula. In short, it offers meals, shelter, basic necessities, and supportive services to help people stabilize and move toward housing and health.
