The mission of Miami Is Kind is to provide employment and educational opportunities for young adults with autism DD through employment in a real business setting. Our strategy is creating partnerships with local bakeries & schools. Miami Is Kind, with direct coaching education and employment, is an industrial bakery and the first factory for professionals with autism DD in South Florida. Miami Is Kind started in October 2015 with two bakers and today employs six bakers that work alongside other typically developed employees. Our goal is employing 20 bakers by 2020.

Magdalene Omaha/Thistle Lights is a survivor-led program of healing, recovery, and economic empowerment for women who experienced sex trafficking/prostitution, violence, and addiction. Our two-year residential recovery program offers long-term housing, access to comprehensive trauma-informed care, legal support, and educational assistance for our residents. Residents also gain employment experience through Thistle Lights, our survivor-led small business which features hand-made products designed and crafted with love by a survivor.

They are dedicated to assisting our members with identifying the necessary resources needed to succeed in schools and the workplace. They are devoted to assisting our members to ensure that they receive their reasonable accommodation as specified by their medical professionals.
