Our mission is to combat chronic hunger and malnutrition. Bearing in mind the Buddha’s statements that “hunger is the worst kind of illness” and “the gift of food is the gift of life,” we sponsor projects that promote hunger relief for poor communities around the world. We pursue our mission by: providing direct food aid to people afflicted by hunger and malnutrition helping develop better long-term methods of sustainable food production and management appropriate to the cultures and traditions of the beneficiaries promoting the education of girls and women, so essential in the struggle against poverty and malnutrition giving women an opportunity to start right livelihood projects to support their families. We also seek to raise awareness of global hunger and advocate for an international food system that exemplifies social justice and conduces to ecological sustainability.

Girl Up Initiative Uganda aims to provide young women and girls with opportunities to succeed and thrive as leaders in their communities through holistic education and economic empowerment. We envision a world where girls get to reach and tap into their full potential through access to an education, and develop into economically independent, empowered young women who can fully contribute to their families and communities as a whole.

The Kids Connection Haiti (KCH) mission is to empower at-risk young adults in Haiti to become contributing, self-sufficient members within their communities through education, life skills training, community service, mentorship, and career development. KCH was founded to support a very specific target community: young women and men from 18 to 25 years old who grew up in extreme poverty, whether from orphanages, homelessness, child slavery situations or coming from Haiti’s most challenging slums. KCH welcomes them all. It provides them with support for the next step in life.

Our vision is an educated society. Our mission is to educate and train Kenyan women, children and youth by providing resources and support. A primary focus is scholarships for students at the secondary and post-secondary levels who need financial support. Many scholarship students attend St. Francis Xavier Secondary School for Girls in Naivasha, Kenya, the school built with Kenya Help funds. Kenya Help also provides scholarships for boys at Ndingi Secondary School, students attending other Kenyan secondary schools, and high school graduates who need financial help to pursue post-secondary education. In addition, Kenya Help supports social services, youth programs, and other projects benefiting children, youth, and women in Kenya.

Our goal and passion is to reach out to those in need and give them hope, support and a chance for a better future. Global Compassion, Inc. has distributed almost $503,400 to people in need since 2006 through fundraising and charitable events. 97% of the funds raised go directly to the needy in India, other international countries and local projects. Pack Away Hunger's mission is to eliminate hunger in Indiana and around the world through nutritious food, education and service. Nutritious Food. In the United States, our Nutri-Plenty Meals help stock the shelves of local food banks and pantries. In developing nations, our meals are used to offset chronic malnutrition in children, and to nourish communities suffering from hunger. Education. Each year, through community partnerships and meal packing events, we educate more than 8,000 people about the toll hunger takes on individuals and communities. Our hope is that this information will inspire people to advocate and care for the hungry in their own communities and around the world. Service. Meal packing events are a powerful and hands-on way for organizations and individuals to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Appropriate for all ages and all abilities, our events allow diverse groups to serve together, build camaraderie and promote team building.
