East Dallas Developmental Center is a non-profit childcare center serving the East Dallas community for more than 30 years. Locally recognized for excellence in childcare, EDDC serves children six weeks of age through pre-school in a warm and loving environment with low teacher/child ratios and experienced staff. Children at EDDC develop a strong social, cognitive, emotional and physical foundation for kindergarten and beyond. EDDC is more than just a daycare. It’s a community of families and teachers supporting each other and forging life-long friendships. EDDC is not governed, subsidized or affiliated with any religious group or umbrella organization. As a result, each and every parent plays an important role in determining the success of the school. While parents are not required to participate in events and fundraisers to secure enrollment, participation is a critical part of the success of EDDC. Major fundraising and social events include the fall wine social, spring auction and numerous parent-hosted parties throughout the year. Parents can also get involved by attending the fall carnival, participating in parent work days to improve the school and serving on the Board or a Parent Group committee.
