The mission of the Retreat is to provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.
CoachArt’s mission is to create a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness. Children living with chronic illness may feel isolated because of their condition. Frequent hospital visits and deficient immune systems often cause them to miss time in school and recreational activities. Families, overwhelmed by the cost and demands of ongoing medical care, often lack the resources to seek out or afford extracurricular activities. Healthy siblings are affected too when family resources are focused on a chronically ill child. CoachArt supports these families by offering free recreational lessons that bring a sense of normalcy back into their lives. Since 2001, CoachArt has matched volunteer coaches with students for one-on-one or group lessons in arts and athletics. Our vision is that one day every family impacted by chronic illness will be connected to a community of support and an opportunity to learn and grow together.
Our mission is to empower those affected by domestic violence and advocate for social change through support, education and outreach.
Clowns Without Borders defends the right to play. For 25 years, we've inspired resilience through laughter with people in refugee camps, conflict zones, and crises. As clowns, we SEE the people we’re performing for. In fact, we're performing WITH them! Together with audience members, we twist our bodies, we make funny faces, we juggle ridiculous items, and above all, we laugh. Our clowns aren’t solving geopolitics, preventing global conflict, or taking away trauma. We’re simply showing up — and showing people that they matter enough to laugh, play, and have an extraordinary day.

For 69 years, City Youth Now has been working to provide programs and services that promote stability, personal growth, and academic and career success for youth in the San Francisco Foster Care and Juvenile Justice Systems. Our support extends beyond Juvenile Hall to serve youth in group homes, in extended foster care for 18-22-year-old youth, and in kinship care (care of foster youth by relatives), as well as in the community. CYN has been a key partner in San Francisco's success in drastically reducing youth held in detention and has provided immediate tangible and comforting resources for children, youth and families when a child is removed from their home.

Rose Haven's mission is to provide day shelter, resources, emotional support and community connections to women, children and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our vision is a community where everyone has safety, stability, love, health and home.Rose Haven is a low barrier agency that exists not to just meet basic needs, but to nurture souls and improve the emotional, mental and physical well-being of our guests and our community as a whole. We understand our agency exists within larger systems of oppression, and we seek to disrupt those structures through radical hospitality, advocacy on an individual and community level, and meaningful connections to resources. We work to hold a space where all guests can connect, have a voice and be empowered.
We serve and catalyze our community to end homelessness, one person at a time.
