Since September 11, 2001, 2.5 million troops have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, they’re coming home. Yet even after they return to the love and support of their families and communities, many will struggle. Physical and hidden injuries are challenging on their own. But sometimes, these injuries can lead to a cascade of other trouble — unemployment, depression, substance abuse, even suicide. Our mission is to ensure injured veterans and their families are thriving long after they return home. That’s why we find and fund innovative programs in communities where veterans, their families and caregivers live and work. That’s how we tackle the problems that can prevent our veterans from fulfilling their dreams for the next chapter of their lives.

Operating under the wing of Worldwide Friends, a distinguished U.S.-based 501c3 organization, we were born from the collective determination of visionary entrepreneurs. Our origin was an emergency response to Russia's unjustified aggression against Ukraine, sparking our commitment to deliver critical aid on the ground. The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves its mission through a continuum of services comprised of street outreach, a range of supportive housing, and comprehensive services. We address the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood-based affordable housing, economic development, and environmental enhancement programs, as well as through providing access to employment opportunities; adult and youth education; and health care. Project HOME is committed to social and political advocacy. An integral part of our work is education about the realities of homelessness and poverty and vigorous advocacy on behalf of and with homeless and low-income persons for more just and humane public policies. Project HOME is committed to nurturing a spirit of community among persons from all walks of life, all of whom have a role to play in making this a more just and compassionate society.

The Ruth Ellis Center (REC), incorporated in 1999, is a youth social services agency with a mission “to provide short-term and long-term residential safe space and support services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.” As LGBTQ youth continue to be disproportionately affected by homelessness, the Ruth Ellis Center remains dedicated to ensuring that these vulnerable youth and young adults receive the services and inherent protections available to all citizens. While the Center emphasizes serving LGBTQ youth who are often ostracized, shamed, and denied services by other agencies, no youth, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation is turned away or denied services

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis family of clubs has over 600,000 adult and youth members in over 80 countries who participate in regular meetings, service projects, and fundraising.

Robin Hood is NYC's largest poverty-fighting organization, and focuses on supporting and creating programs and schools that generate results for people in NYC’s poorest neighborhoods. Since 1988, Robin Hood has granted more than $1.45 billion to hundreds of soup kitchens, shelters, schools, job programs, and other services that give needy residents the tools they need to build better lives. Robin Hood's board pays all admin costs, so 100% of your donation goes to help New Yorkers in need.

Impact Network is a U.S.-based charitable organization that provides successful technology based education solutions in rural Africa. We believe every child deserves access to a quality education. By empowering local teachers with tablets loaded with activity-based lessons and intensive training on the use of the technology, we make this possible. We developed the eSchool 360 system as a way to sustain high-quality education for less than $5 a month per student. Our solution is currently operating in over 40 schools in rural Zambia, serving over 6,000 students in the primary grades.

The mission of Birthday Wishes is to improve and empower the lives of homeless children and their families by providing joy, play and hope through the magic of a birthday party. Our goal is to ensure that children experiencing the trauma of homelessness have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday joyfully, surrounded by family, friends and others who care.
