SAO is committed to helping particularly vulnerable displaced women and mothers in Greece. In our Day Centres we offer them shelter space where they can find refuge, assistance and new perspectives. The work of our specialist staff focuses on trauma-oriented, psychosocial support. In cooperation with other humanitarian actors and partner organisations, SAO also provides women with access to medical and legal assistance. --- SAO Association is a tax-exempt Swiss relief organisation. SAO was founded in 2016 by Raquel Herzog who was very moved by the refugee crisis and therefore travelled to Lesvos in Autumn 2015 to volunteer actively on site. Through the intensive contact with four young Syrian women and their 92-year-old grandmother, Raquel became aware of the specific needs of displaced women. Since 2017 SAO has been focusing on the work with particularly vulnerable displaced women and has been operating two on trauma-oriented, psychosocial services specialised Day Centres on Lesvos and in Athens. In the spirit of sustainability, SAO also accompanies the clients with the "Back on Track" programme to promote individual skills useful for their professional or academic paths. Displaced women receive specific and individual access to information, assistance and consultation. The primary goal of SAO Association is to support the most vulnerable displaced women in strengthening their resilience, in breaking through isolation patterns, in developing coping mechanisms for their experiences, in building new social networks and in strengthening their self-determination and independence. SAO achieves those goals through a professional programme for trauma relief which is offered in a protected space where individuality is appreciated and religious, cultural and ethnical values are acknowledged and respected. In this way, SAO creates conditions to mitigate the effects of fleeing on body and soul, to point out individual possibilities and abilities to act as well as to promote inclusion in the society of arrival. The strengthening and implementation of women's rights and of the legal entitlement to international protection are action guiding.

At Donate4Refugees our vision is for every displaced person in Europe to be welcomed with humanity and respect in Europe and given the helping hand they need to find safety, peace and happiness in their new forever home. We work collaboratively to help ensure every displaced man, women and child asking for Europe's help gets the support they need to start their new life with dignity. Whilst the Greek arrival islands buckle under severe over-crowding, lack of basic hygiene and appalling food within camps sending tensions inside the camps, and right wing violence outside of them, soaring. Life for refugees in Europe's hot spots in 2020 is utterly miserable. The hope in people's eyes is disappearing, the smiles are fading... Now that you know, will you help? Within this devastating environment our volunteers are too often providing the only lifeline to refugees. Donate4Refugees uniquely brings together donations from individuals, businesses and trusts to give grants and emergency funding to our trusted grassroots partners on-the-ground. Those volunteers supporting refugee communities on Europe's front-lines. Together we're filling shamefully big gaps in aid and humanity and, without the tireless dedication of our volunteers, refugee men, women and children would be struggling to even survive. Safe Water Sports is a non-profit organization, founded the summer of 2015, whose primary scope is the enhancement of safety standards for water related sports and recreational water activities. Safe Water Sports is purely a voluntary initiative and does not receive any funding or financial support from our government. Our vision is to ultimately make our country an example for others to emulate regarding safety requirements and proper standards through knowledge and support to individuals within the athletic industry and to businesses affiliated with recreational water activities and water sports. Our initiative, beyond aiming to improve safety and prevent potential accidents, has a distinct underlying nature of growth and development for our country's vital Industry, tourism. Safe Water Sports can develop into a key contributor to improving Greece's global image to potential travellers selecting our country for their holidays and leisure activities. Involving our citizens is of prime importance to our efforts and initiative. The general public is our central focal point, which we intend to educate, inform, and mobilize, so that each and every public or private sector agency recognizes their importance and involvement. The focus for any public or private sector organization affiliated with aquatics, whether water sports or recreational activities, should clearly revolve around the safety needs of all participants. Safe Water Sports relies heavily on collective actions of our citizens and uses the power of information and technology to promote and strengthen the predominate role of citizens within their area of activities. Safe Water Sports aims to become the central reference point for all water activities taking place in Greece. We want to give people accurate and reliable information on the water-related sports and recreational activities. In Safe Water Sports, citizens can seatch and retrieve all LICENSED watersports centers offering various water activities (e.x. sports, entertainment, diving, leisure) in our country, together with the necessary information related to the applicable laws and safety regulations.

Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response

Echo100Plus is a registered Austrian charity, which was founded in 2012 by a group of friends, most of them Austrians with strong ties to Greece, who were moved to take action when the scale and intensity of the growing economic and social crisis became apparent. We are providing assistance for people in precarious situations in Greece. We are focusing on arriving refugees and receiving communities. We are developing alternative models of cooperation and learning from each other in an increasing social climate of fear. Our mission is to empower and help build new perspectives for the people we support by engaging (international) volunteers thus strengthening civil society. Our emphasis is to establish 'spaces' and 'programs' to enable dialogue and equip/empower all our stakeholder and participants to self-improve their lives.

CRIBS International is an experienced, longstanding and reputable NGO working in Athens, Greece. We focus on provision of the following: Refugee women and infant's housing project, Casework, psychologist, legal, medical and employment support, Community development work and a Free Shop for women and children ensuring distribution with dignity. At CRIBS International, our mission is to house and support refugee women who are in their final trimester of pregnancy or who have a new-born baby and have arrived in Greece, having fled conflict and exploitation. We provide this emergency support for the first 12 months of a baby's life to allow them to be born into a nurturing environment. CRIBS offers a lifeline to the women we support, many of whom are travelling alone and some being survivors of rape and sexual exploitation. When they reach Athens, despite being pregnant, the women receive no support from the authorities and are left to manage in any way they can as the state does not deem them vulnerable. Many become street homeless and prey to further abuse, or are forced into unsafe, closed camps with inadequate food, where violence is endemic and where health care facilities are almost non-existent. In the words of one of the women we support, 'When you arrive in Greece, it's difficult to restart your life with nothing'. By providing shelter, safety and support, we prevent homelessness and protect lives. More than this, we also work to empower women to begin to recover from trauma, to get back on their feet and to rebuild their life. Our goal is to provide the support needed to enable them to integrate into society, live independently and become part of the community to which circumstances have brought them.

At ReFOCUS Media Labs, our mission is to empower asylum seekers and refugees by equipping them with modern media skills to overcome the challenges they face, such as limited access to education, language barriers, financial constraints, mental health support, skills training and job placement. Through our three Media Labs (Lesvos, Athens, Krakow and Berlin), workshops and original content productions on location we provide comprehensive education in photography, filmmaking, audio engineering, and graphic design. Moreover, we actively collaborate with our students in the production of impactful dramatic films and documentaries. Our media labs provide critical support for community members who normally struggle to integrate into their new host countries and find their way into competitive industries. Through working on our own professional media projects including feature films and our original podcast "Fractured", community members gain valuable real-world experience working on collaborative teams, develop their own professional portfolios, and earn living wages to ensure financial security in the process.
