Provide an excellent learning environment in the local village government school so students from disadvantaged background have a very fulfilling and well rounded and fun learning experience. To provide teaching and training for the teaching staff and ancillary staff of local government village school, in partnership with district government education department. For our organisation in partnership with government village school teaching staff and district government education department, to provide students from the local village government school, with motivation, guidance and mentoring for higher education. To provide scholarships to cover tuition fees and bursaries for living expenses for high school children from local village government school to pursue further education in colleges in the district colleges and city colleges. To provide mentoring and guidance for college educated students from disadvantaged background in their aspirations for employment. In the long term our aim is to set up Polytechnic Education and Apprenticeship Programme for the students from disadvantaged background in partnership with Government Education Department and Local Business Organisations.

Lyra strategy and mission: Tanzania has sustained high economic growth over the last decade, averaging 6-7% a year. But while its poverty rate has declined from 60% in 2007 to an estimated 47% in 2016, about 12 million Tanzanians still live in extreme poverty on earnings of less than US$0.60 per day due to fast population growth rate of over 3% per year. Young people in rural Tanzania are still growing up to a future of poverty and hunger. Lyra is working to change that: unlocking local opportunities to shift rural poverty. Lyra's mission is to create sustainable, vibrant rural communities by improving the education of girls and women and creating economic incentives, allowing them to stay in their own villages. Lyra's goal is to build a girls hostel for every secondary school in the Iringa region of Tanzania: guaranteing accommodation so that girls from wide rural catchment areas can attend secondary school safely and complete their studies. We subsidise attendance for the poorest girls, while mobilising communities to provide food in the long-term. Secondary education transforms girls' opportunities and the prosperity of the whole community. An important effect of girls finishing their secondary education, is smaller, healthier families, specifically as Tanzania has one of the highest birth rates in the world, with more than 44% of the population under the age of 15 in 2017. We also leverage the power of digital technology through tablets to transform classroom teaching and self-study, so that girls and boys gain more relevant skills to prepare them for work. In the absence of formal banking structures, we create village savings and loan groups, which help families manage their money and access credit to invest in business activities. We support our growing movement of 3,800 members with business skills and entrepreneur training to generate more profitable and diverse businesses. Together, these initiatives enable young people and their families to raise their income and quality of life, securing a better, healthier future in their own, rural villages.

Who We Are The Foundation for Women's Health, Research and Development - FORWARD - is an African Diaspora women's campaign and support charity (registered in the UK). We exist to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights as central to the wellbeing of African women and girls. We work with individuals, communities and organisations to transform harmful practices and improve the quality of life of vulnerable girls and women. FORWARD was established in 1983 in the UK, in response to the emerging problems caused by female genital mutilation being seen by health professionals. Since this time FORWARD has been working to eliminate the practice and provide support to women affected by FGM. At our twenty year review FORWARD formally incorporated into its mandate other issues allied to Female Genital Mutilation, in particular vesico-vagina and recto-vagina fistulae and child and forced marriage. CRY UK aims to amplify the voices of India's children, and their struggle for survival. Through our efforts (and through our partner CRY India), we aim to effect change that will ultimately stop this vicious circle of poverty, hunger, discrimination and the lack of access to healthcare and education. In short, we aim to bring about a change to ensure that every child in India, regardless of race, religion or background, has a fulfilling and enriching childhood, guaranteed to them as citizens of India.
