Lions Foundation of Canada operates Dog Guides Canada, a national school which trains and provides Dog Guides at no cost to Canadians with visual, hearing or other physical or medical disabilities. The Dog Guide programs are Canine Vision Canada, Hearing Ear, Special Skills,Seizure Response and Autism Assistance Dog Guides.

Hospice of Waterloo Region serves all ages and assists clients with any terminal illness. The compassionate and practical support offered by our staff and volunteers extends to all family members. Each client/volunteer relationship is unique and is determined by the particular needs of the individual. Volunteers provide respite care and enrich people’s lives by sharing their gifts of listening, caring, friendship, love, humour, and support. Hospice of Waterloo Region hosts programs and provides services at no charge to individuals and families. No one need die alone. We offer companionship to live in dignity and comfort.

The Launching Pad commenced operation in June of 1994 at a 12-bed facility in Aldergrove, B.C. The founding fathers were Dave Houston who purchased the house and Ed Warnke who managed the facility and continues to do so today as Executive Director. In 2001, we moved to our present facility in White Rock, where we provide room and board for 28 residents and help alcoholics and addicts learn how to lead clean and sober lives. The White Rock house was already zoned for a care facility and had been operating as a seniors’ home for some years prior to our arrival. The property, about a half acre, has proved to be ideal for our purposes and is well situated in South Surrey on the White Rock border. In 18 years of operation, the Launching Pad has seen several hundred men recover from addiction, and provided room & board for about 2000 men for varying lengths of time. We became a non-profit society in February of 2002, and have registered charity status.

Join the Dance is the Ontario representative for Pierre Dulaine's internationally acclaimed Dancing Classrooms of Mad Hot Ballroom and Take the Lead Fame. A 10 weeks Inter-curricular, Character Education program for children and youth that utilizes ballroom dancing as a vehicle to change the lives of not only the participants, but also the lives of the teachers and families who support them. Academic components of History, Geography, Literacy, Public Speaking and Social Studies are woven intricately into the joy of the dance that provides 50-minutes of good physical fitness and mental health stimulation. Culminating events allow diverse school communities to Join the Dance and Dancing Classrooms are fully endorsed by the Toronto Public and Catholic Boards. $100 will provide 1 student in a classroom with twenty 50-minute sessions for ten weeks. $2,000 sponsorship/donation provides the program to one entire classroom.

Crime Stoppers is a non-profit charitable organization that combines the best efforts of the community, the media and the police in the fight against crime. Each week the media appeals for information about unsolved crimes. A "Crime of the Week" is highlighted in newspaper articles, radio spots and television re-enactments. People are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously to report any information that may help solve this or any other crime. A group of dedicated, concerned citizens make up the civilian Board of Directors for Crime Stoppers of London-Elgin-Middlesex. Board members raise, control and administer funds, organize reward payments to callers and promote the program. The Fraser Valley Youth Society currently operates the only service for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Questioning and Allied youth in Abbotsford. Our drop-in hosts 30 youth per week. Our goal is to facilitate a safe, open and non-judgmental space for youth to express themselves. This is achieved through our weekly drop in where youth can come and share experiences, learn life skills, build resiliency skills and gain social supports. The society liaises with local services and those in surrounding communities in order to link our youth with support that goes beyond what we can provide. We participate in the Vancouver Pride Parade every year as well as other events hosted by GLBTQ service providers in Metro Vancouver. We recently celebrated our fourth annual ‘Walk Away from Homophobia’ in Abbotsford. This event was attended by our youth and 160 other community members who take a vested interest in the issues faced by GLBTQ youth. We welcome your support!

The Kiwanis Foundation of Canada is a nonprofit charitable foundation endorsed and approved in 1971 by the 3 Kiwanis Districts of Kiwanis International operating in Canada. The Foundation is governed by a board of volunteer Kiwanians from the three Kiwanis Districts of Canada. Our funds are received primarily from individual Kiwanis Members and their Clubs. Gifts from corporations, other foundations, groups and individuals are also received. All donations shall be used to carry out the Foundation's stated purposes, unless specified as endowment funds.

The Canadian Hero Fund is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting Canadian military personnel and their families.
