The Pregnancy Help Centre of Durham was established in Durham Region to demonstrate God’s love and mercy to all who may be distressed due to pregnancy.

Our mission at The Toronto Humane Society is to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and to prevent cruelty and suffering. The day-to-day operation of the THS involves the direct handling of lost, abandoned, unwanted and injured pets. In any given year, approximately 10,000 animals pass through the shelter, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The injured receive veterinary care; abandoned animals are given a safe haven. Immature and injured animals are placed in foster care until they are strong enough to be placed for adoption. The Toronto Humane Society is supported solely by individual and corporate donations - we do not receive government funding of any kind.

The Black Watch of Canada Foundation was officially established August 13, 1996. The primary role of the Foundation is to assist the Commanding Officer in reaching the community in which the Regiment is located, so as to serve it better.

Heart-Links is a small non government organization (NGO) based in London, Ontario that has worked for the past 20 years to support, through friendship and funding, several impoverished and vulnerable communities in northern Peru. We utilize a participatory model to work with these communities to identify needs and to collaborate on and financially support various community initiatives. Heart-Links works in partnership with women’s groups, community kitchens, children’s programs, adolescent programs and young adult training. Our programs develop self-esteem and leadership, educate about rights, and provide skills training. They are mainly in the areas of education, nutrition, health and income generation to promote self-sufficiency. In particular we focus on the empowerment and encouragement of women, children and youth.

This organization mobilizes chefs on three levels: the redistribution of food surpluses, the preparation of ready-to-eat meals to profit Quebec food banks, and the transfer of culinary and nutritional knowledge to underprivileged youth so as to break the cycle of poverty and develop culinary independence.

The Compass is a drop-in centre and food bank, serving south Mississauga. It is an outreach initiative of Christian churches in the Clarkson/Lorne Park/Port Credit community. As many as 2000 homeless people live in Winnipeg, the coldest capital city in the world. Every day, Siloam Mission is visited by 400 - 500 homeless people. We care for the poor, the addicted, the hungry, those afflicted with all kinds of sicknesses, the outcasts, and the homeless.

The EVA BC is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides services to over 240 funded anti-violence programs across British Columbia: - Community-Based Victim Assistance Programs - Stopping the Violence Counselling Programs - Stopping the Violence Outreach Programs - Sexual Assault/Woman Assault Centres Our mandate is to provide support and training, undertake research, develop and distribute resources and tools, educate the public and government bodies on the needs of victims of violence, develop and maintain standards for the provision of service, and foster the development of cross-sectoral coordination and collaboration.

Hospice Renfrew provides end-of-life care to people who are experiencing life-threatening or terminal illness. This small, comfortable, home-like palliative care residence serves individuals and families throughout Renfrew County and the surrounding area. Hospice Renfrew provides 24-hour nursing care, with physician support, at no cost to the patient in an inclusive setting where family and friends can be an integral part of the care.

The Children's Book Bank provides free books and literacy support to low- income children in the greater Toronto area from its storefront location in Regent Park. The Children’s Book Bank is like a magical children’s bookstore, except that books are given free of charge to children and their families. We believe that book ownership is essential to early literacy and a life-long love of reading. Unfortunately, studies show that many low-income families cannot afford to purchase books. At the same time, many families and organizations have quality children’s books that they no longer need. Our organization connects demand and supply to ensure that all children can experience the joy, dignity and enrichment associated with book ownership.
