The mission of The Wild Center (Natural History Museum Of The Adirondacks) is to ignite an enduring passion for the Adirondacks where people and nature can thrive together and offer an example for the world.

COMPASS trains and supports diverse science leaders to become skilled, strategic communicators and collaborators so their science can better inform decisions that improve the well‑being of people and nature. It does this through workshops, fellowships, coaching, and strategic convening that build scientists’ communication skills, networks, and leadership.

The Big Imagination Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We incubate bold, visionary projects that inspire the world to dream big. Our projects don’t fit into boxes. They rely on radical collaboration and community support. They provide opportunities for education and participation. They are experiences open to everyone. If we dream big, we can make the impossible possible.

IEDRO assists in readying the data rescue facility including helping with purchases and equipment installation. They also train the data rescue personnel and digitize the scanned data at IEDRO headquarters.

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education inspires meaningful connections between people and nature. We use our forests and fields as a living laboratory to foster appreciation, deepen understanding, and encourage stewardship of the environment. As a leader in the next generation of environmental education, the Schuylkill Center will create a world where all people play, learn, and grow with nature as part of their everyday lives.

PRESENT THE SCIENCE OF WEATHER PREDICTION IN A PLEASANT, ENJOYABLE, AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND MANNER; EDUCATE ABOUT THE WEATHER TO A VARIETY OF GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS, AGES, AND COGNITIVE LEVELS USING FOLKLORE, HISTORY, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY; AND ENHANCE THE CLAIM OF PUNXSUTAWNEY (HOME OF GROUNDHOG) TO BE THE WEATHER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD BY OPERATING A UNIQUE, AFFORDABLE, INFORMATIVE INTERACTIVE SCIENCE CENTER FOR WEATHER EDUCATION AND WEATHER TERMINOLOGY.
