The Advocacy Project - A Voice for the Voiceless The Advocacy Project (AP) helps marginalized communities around the world take action against the root causes of their disempowerment in a way that benefits society as a whole and produces social change. To do this, we partner with community-based advocates who represent these communities and share their problems. Our support for partners is innovative and effective. First, we deploy Peace Fellows (experienced graduate students) to help partners tell their story, launch campaigns, and strengthen their organization: we have deployed 274 Peace Fellows since 2003, and in the process given our Fellows a unique experience. Second, we help partners to raise funds and manage their campaigns: we have raised over $2.5 million for partners, and are currently seeking funds through Global Giving for exciting projects in Nepal, Vietnam and Uganda. Third, we promote the work of partners internationally, using new methods of story-telling such as advocacy quilting: over 300 women have produced embroidered panels for our quilts, which have been shown throughout North America and Europe. Coaches Across Continents uses sport as a vehicle to create Self-Directed Learners who can identify, address and solve problems specific to their communities. Our unique adaptable curriculum empowers people to question harmful traditional, cultural, and religious practices; choose their own futures; and create change.

We envision a world where important stories are told by the communities who know them best in order to inform laws, systems and policies that promote justice and equality for all. To make that vision a reality, p.h. balanced films supports women working toward social justice and policy change through multi-day knowledge exchange sessions on the use of film and storytelling for advocacy purposes and a mentorship program to provide ongoing, global support of their efforts.

Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) was created in 2001 in response to the HIV crisis in western Kenya. It is built on a partnership between Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and the Moi University School of Medicine in Eldoret, Kenya, and a consortium of North American academic health centers, led by Indiana University. The partners joined forces to create one of Africa's largest, most comprehensive and effective HIV/AIDS management and control systems. AMPATH is a formal partner with the United States government through a $75 million grant from USAID and has continually expanded its successful HIV approach to into a more comprehensive primary health care system. With a tri-partite mission of care, education, and research, AMPATH provides healthcare services to a population of 3.5 million people in western Kenya and focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of the entire population-leaving no one behind.

Shirzanan works to expand access to sport for Muslim women and girls worldwide. We use sports and media to catalyze discussion and advancements in women's rights and gender equality. We produce and disseminate stories - particularly to populations whose governments limit free information and women's rights. Shirzanan is the Persian word for "female heroes" and an apt description of the Muslim female athletes who triumph over cultural, social and religious barriers to excel at sport. We promote them as role models who speak out and stand up against discrimination. To shape a positive narrative around Muslim females and counter stereotypes exacerbated by mainstream media, we train female journalists to cover female athletes and train female athletes as role models and advocates. We uphold the Olympic Charter's statement that "The practice of sport is a human right." Everyone deserves access to sport and its consequent health, academic, economic, social and gender equality.

Green Line Albania is an environmental and youth organisation, serving as a factor of change in environmental issues, in environmental education, in voluntarism & youth empowerment. Green Line Albania's new policy and strategy is oriented in six main priorities: Awareness & Real Actions, Policy Making, Corporate Social Responsibility, Education, Partnership & Community Engagement. Combatting Child abuse, Sexual Assault & Domestic violence in Sub-Saharan Africa

Hope for Limpopo, Inc. promotes women and children's safety, education and well-being through support of projects and capacity building programs dictated by the needs of the local community in and around Limpopo Province. Activities consist primarily of financing works that provide education, basic diet and nutrition counseling, public awareness, and medical care for impoverished children and adults living in the rural areas of South Africa. An emphasis is placed on children orphaned or otherwise adversely affected by HIV/AIDS and their caregivers.

The mission of the International Center is to address the needs of refugees and immigrants in their assimilation to community life by providing employment, educational, housing, and other social services.
