The Cocoon Shelter, so-named to reflect a victim's transformation as she achieves independence from interpersonal abuse, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a place for safety, healing, and justice for battered women and their children.

SOHO works to transform the lives of children of child-headed households and those at risk of abuse and exploitation through a holistic, Christ-centered program to heal, educate, nurture and empower them to be self-sustaining.

Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. They exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. They stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. They work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. They desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that they are prepared to lend there physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and there physical presence. They stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. They do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that they are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, they stand ready to be that obstacle

They want to impact the lives of children in dangerous and poverty-stricken places to such a degree that it changes their whole nation.

To prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, provide services for victims, and create community awareness around these issues.

PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN AND ADULT VICTIMS OF CRIME.

The primary concern of Ark Crisis Children’s Center is the safety of the children and families they serve. Ark also understands the important role we play in providing critical child care in times of crisis. The need for their services is greater than ever before. Ark has always provided free care to children whose families have nowhere else to turn. This includes working parents who have no access to safe, affordable care for their children.

Deeply rooted in service to farmworkers, CASA of Oregon improves the lives of Oregonians in underserved communities by building affordable housing, neighborhood facilities, and programs that increase families' financial well-being.

-Since 1995 we started a shelter for abuse children living in Puerto Rico. The Board of Director has established as our mission: -To provide a (shelter) Home enviroment for batered, abused, abandoned and/or domestic violence children and to provide for all their basic needs. Offering them the proper environment for a healthy development. -Facilitate the restoration of their individual, family and social values through good example, and the participation of the children in safe and healthy community activities. -Increase public awareness and knowledge through presentations, conferences and orientation in different commmunity forums, covering topics related to children and their well being. -Our main goal is to continue receving and helping as many children that we can afford. And to have resources to continue. -Since we start we have serve and shelter 437 kids with particular contiditions and needs, from Puerto Rico and others, living in the island, that are from other countries (China, Mexico, Dominican Republic).
