Safe Berks provides free, confidential, 24/7 crisis and support services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Berks County. Their programs include emergency shelter, counseling, legal and medical advocacy, and community education and prevention—aimed at keeping people safe, empowering survivors, and preventing further abuse.
The Massachusetts Children’s Alliance (MACA) is the accredited Massachusetts state chapter of the National Children’s Alliance that supports and coordinates the state’s 12 Children’s Advocacy Centers. It provides training, statewide program development, policy and legislative support, and promotes a multidisciplinary team response to improve services and outcomes for child abuse victims.
The primary purpose of the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is to provide a safe haven for children, birth through age 12, thereby preventing child abuse and neglect, and to support the needs of families. Children are cared for in the Nursery for any situation that may jeopardize their health and safety, including: parental stress, domestic violence, homelessness, and other family crises. The Crisis Nursery services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at five locations throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles' regions and are free of charge.
The mission of the Center for Safety & Change is to develop strategies to end gender-based violence and provide shelter and supportive services that empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and other crimes. Center for Safety & Change provides 24/7, trauma-informed services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other crimes. Services include a hotline, shelter, legal help, therapy, counseling, and pet safety. Advocates offer support at hospitals, court, and with social services. The Center also runs prevention programs in schools and the community. All services are free, confidential, multilingual, and available in person or virtually.
Sanctuary for Families is dedicated to the safety, healing and self-determination of victims of domestic violence and related forms of gender violence. The Action Alliance has been Virginia's leading voice on sexual and intimate partner violence for more than 40 years. We are a non-profit network of survivors, Sexual and Domestic Violence Agencies, and allies working to strengthen how communities across Virginia respond to and prevent sexual and intimate partner violence. Donations ensure we have the resources needed in order to: Strengthen state laws that make survivors safer and communities more equitable; respond to those in need (24/7) via the Statewide Sexual and Domestic Violence Hotline; train professionals to provide trauma-informed responses and build healing-centered systems; and create statewide prevention initiatives that promote healthy relationships, joyful sexuality, and thriving communities.
