Black Women’s Blueprint, Inc. is a civil and human rights organization of women and men. Our purpose is to take action to secure social, political and economic equality in American society now. We work to develop a culture where African-American women are fully empowered and where gender, race and other disparities are erased. Our mission is to provide these services to all eligible persons regardless of their ability to pay.

We work to curb the needless removal of children from everyone they know and love and the unnecessary placement of those children in foster care, often when family poverty is confused with "neglect." We do this not because such removal harms parents, but because of the enormous harm the misuse and overuse of foster care does to children.
