Helping homeless women and their children rebuild their lives. Founded in 1983, Win began as a shelter for four homeless women and their combined six children. Since then, Win has evolved to become a leading, non-profit agency and the largest provider of shelter for homeless families in New York City. We serve close to 12,000 homeless women and their children each year. Win has sharpened its focus from offering shelter and support to homeless women and children, to providing comprehensive programs and services that enable homeless families to succeed in life and break the cycle of homelessness. Guided by a passion to educate and empower patients to pro-actively inquire about the short and long term side effects of prescription medicine before accepting them, MedShadow Foundation seeks to help people understand the risks & benefits of medicines and prompt discussions between the patient and health care provider. This includes asking deeper questions to a physician or pharmacist, looking at the pros and cons of prescription drugs, and if appropriate, exploring other options. We empower our readers to learn about prescription drugs and become an engaged advocate in their own health and wellbeing.

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ADDICTION TREATMENT CENTER OF NEW ENGLAND WILL BE TO ALLEVIATE THE PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL ANGUISH OF DRUG ADDICTION AS EXPERIENCED BY THE INDIVIDUAL, THE FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY BY USING ALL AVAILABLE MODALITIES INCLUDING PREVENTION, DRUG-FREE AND DRUG-SUPPORTED RECOVERY AS DEFINED BY THE TREATER AND THE TREATED.
