WHO WE ARE THE VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU MEMORIAL (VOOM) FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO RAISE STANDARD OF CARE AND CREATE A SUSTAINABLE MEDICAL PROGRAM IN NIGERIA. VOOM FOUNDATION WAS BORN FROM THE VISION OF DR. VINCENT OHAJU, CHIEF OF SURGERY & MEDICAL DIRECTOR FOR TRAUMA SERVICES AT CHI ST. JOSEPH HEALTH IN BRYAN, TEXAS. ORIGINALLY FROM THE TOWN OF IHITTE, IN SOUTH EASTERN NIGERIA, DR. OHAJU HAD PERSONALLY WITNESSED THE EFFECTS OF INADEQUATE AVAILABLE MEDICAL CARE ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HIS FATHER, VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU PASSED AWAY IN 1983 AT THE AGE OF 56 DUE TO COMPLICATIONS FROM PULMONARY ASPIRATION. A SIMPLE PROCEDURE SUCH AS BRONCHOSOCOPY READILY AVAILABLE IN EVEN THE SMALLEST HOSPITAL IN THE UNITED STATES COULD HAVE PREVENTED HIS DEMISE. IT WAS A CLOSE AND PERSONAL REMINDER TO DR. OHAJU THAT OVER 95% OF THE PEOPLE IN NIGERIA LIVE WITHOUT ESSENTIAL MEDICAL SERVICES. IN 2016 THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RANKED NIGERIA 163 OUT OF 190 COUNTRIES IN HEALTHCARE. Community-based members provide services to more than 15 million Hispanics throughout the U.S. every year and national organization members provide services to more than 100 million people annually.

"Helping One Heart At a Time" Boston Cardiac Foundation (BCF) is a non-profit organization that brings medical technologies and services to less developed countries around the world. It is our mission to provide advanced medical technologies and cardiac care to indigent patients around the world. In addition we aim to carry on educational and ancillary activities related to cardiac care for the indigent. The BCF team is made up of physicians, nurses and technologists and performs cardiac procedures such as pacemaker implantation free of charge for patients who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Many of these individuals would not survive without these life saving operations. Team members have been traveling around the globe on charitable missions for over 22 years. It is our mission to provide quality healthcare, to those in need, free of charge and better their lives forever.

The mission of Sacred Valley Health is to promote health in the underserved rural communities of Peru's sacred valley.

Economic empowerment is the underlying goal of all that we do at Destination Tomorrow. We focus on education and practical life skills that take our clients off the path to needing emergency treatment, housing or healthcare services. We believe it is more helpful to empower them to avoid crisis situations, via offerings such as a financial literacy program in collaboration with TD Bank, a four-week job readiness program, and sexual health education.
