Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) because they cause severe inflammation of the intestinal tract, and have common symptoms. The cause remains unknown, and there is no medical cure. The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America was founded in 1967. Its mission is to find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

The Foundation's goal is to provide the ultimate environment for a child to become their best in all areas of their life, including academic, athletic, interpersonal skills, leadership, as a mentor, and someone willing to be mentored. They hope to arm children with a variety of ways to grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, and in their relationships with themselves and others. Fuck Cancer is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit in the United States and a registered Canadian charity dedicated to improving health outcomes by providing early detection, prevention, and support programs that advance health equity for individuals and communities affected by cancer. Fuck Cancer believes that people diagnosed with cancer, their families and their support network should have equitable access to early detection, prevention, and psychosocial support.

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Inc. mission is to: relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.
