Indigenous Health Solutions is a trans-disciplinary collective of pioneers driven by a passion for service to the Earth, and the poorest and most remote communities on it. Through the lens of planetary health, where shifts in natural systems are prioritized in examination of human health, experts in conservation, health, anthropology, and business come together with those in need to craft and implement culturally informed and community led solutions for development. Our programs are built upon the foundational principle that development must be indigenous, that is, planned in partnership with those in need and rooted in the place of delivery, reflecting practical awareness of the interconnection between health, conservation, livelihood, and education.

Our mission is to reduce air pollution through education and advocacy. We strive to educate the public on the health risks associated with poor air quality and encourage the community's leaders to serve as role models for clean air and clean energy production.

The Southern California Mountains Foundation is a non-profit that is passionate about our mission and community. Founded in 1915, the Near East Foundation's mission is to help build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East and Africa through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. NEF is an operational NGO with projects in seven countries-Armenia, Sudan, Senegal, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Palestinian Territories and Egypt-where we work to directly improve the lives of tens of thousands of vulnerable people through programs in peacebuilding, civic engagement, education, sustainable agriculture, and business development. In the field, approximately 50 NEF staff members-all of them from the countries in which they work-partner with local organizations to find homegrown solutions to the development problems of communities throughout the region.

Toxics Action Center's assistance provides groups with the strategies, science, and access to resources needed to run an effective grassroots effort. We strive to build the capacity of community groups and develop long-term civic leaders.

The Chocorua Lake Conservancy protects the scenic and natural resources of the Chocorua Lake Basin and surrounding area through conservation practices, land protection, easements, maintenance of lands for public access, and the development of a community of support.The Chocorua Lake Conservancy achieves this mission by:- Enabling convenient public access to Chocorua Lake and trails on conservation lands it owns;- Protecting the Chocorua Lake Basin and surrounding area from development;- Preserving the pristine water quality of Chocorua Lake, its sources, and its outflow;- Conducting and modeling sustainable forestry operations on its conservation lands; and,- Developing a community of support through education, outreach, volunteer opportunities, and community activities.

The mission of the American Littoral Society is to promote the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, protect the coast from harm, and empower others to do the same.

MADRE's mission is to advance women's human rights by meeting urgent needs in communities and building lasting solutions to the crises women face. The Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy promotes healthy ecosystems and communities by providing permanent legal protection and ecological management of conservation lands and by engaging the public in the protection and enjoyment of these lands.
