Since 2001, Keep Charlotte Beautiful has provided residents and visitors with opportunities to join fun, like-minded individuals who are passionate about protecting Charlotte County’s natural resources. We focus on our mission of improving the quality of life in Charlotte County by engaging volunteers to keep our community clean and free of debris, conserving resources and beautifying our public spaces. We use the three “E’s” of community engagement: Education, Environment and Events to instill pride and ownership in our community so that we ensure effective, long-term results. Through our ongoing programs, Keep Charlotte Beautiful helps individuals, families, civic and business groups get more involved in protecting our precious natural resources.

The Ridge Trail Council believes that easy access to nature is essential to live life well. Every day we work to complete a local long-distance trail packed with panoramas and open space that inspires everyday adventures.

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation connects Americans with their wilderness heritage by providing access to and stewardship of one of the world's most spectacular places -Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, the crown jewel of the Wilderness System. We help hundreds of hard-working volunteers, including youth, develop a land ethic and give back to the wilderness by opening trails, restoring heavily used areas, maintaining historic structures and fighting weeds. Active wilderness stewardship is our mission. The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation: Provides its hard-working volunteers with a unique back country experience Works cooperatively with the US Forest Service to engage youth groups, individual volunteers and other organizations. Nature's Classroom institute has developed a highly sophisticated curriculum to connect children with diverse natural environments and allow them to choose from a large variety of classes and educational opportunities that accentuate motivation and the child’s experience

School Garden Project helps Lane County schools create, sustain, and use onsite gardens by providing resources, professional consultation, and educational programming. We are committed to a future in which school garden education helps children become healthy adults who eat their fruits and vegetables, know the basics of growing food, and contribute to a thriving community.

Wildlife in Crisis is a volunteer run, non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife preservation and land conservation. Founded in 1988, each year WIC cares for over 5,000 injured and orphaned wild animals. WIC relies entirely on donations to care for debilitated wildlife. The New England Grassroots Environment Fund (Grassroots Fund) seeks to energize and nurture long term civic engagement in local initiatives that create and maintain healthy, just, safe and environmentally sustainable communities. The Fund uses stories, tools and dollars to fuel local activism and social change.

Mission: The purposes of the Blackbird Foundation, formerly known as 'Alik'alak'wa'ishe, are to create and operate a Chumash Indian religious, educational and cultural center and to enable children to learn traditional, academic, environmental and culturally relevant subjects and to raise and provide funds for the support of, and to carry on, the forgoing and other charitable activities. Transition to Organics is a program of the Blackbird Foundation. Our focus is to support the Earth by working with Nature, inspiring and educating land stewards, offering workshops, conferences and hands-on advice about how to create healthy farms, gardens and communities.

The Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn (OSA) works with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, elected officials, and our community to maintain, activate, enhance, and expand parks and public spaces in North Brooklyn.

Forest Trends' mission is to conserve forests and other ecosystems through the creation and wide adoption of a broad range of environmental finance, markets, and other payment and incentive mechanisms. Forest Trends does so by: 1) Providing transparent information on ecosystem values, finance, and markets through knowledge acquisition, analysis, and dissemination; 2) convening diverse coalitions, partners and communities of practice to promote environmental values and advance development of new markets and payment mechanisms; and 3) demonstrating successful tools, standards, and models of innovative finance for conservation.
