Founded in 2001, Action for Cheetahs in Kenya has helped stabilize endangered cheetah populations in East Africa through research, education, and community development. Our mission is to promote the conservation of cheetahs and improve livelihoods of people impacted by carnivores. We are the only cheetah conservation organization focused on conserving cheetah populations outside the bounds of national parks and protected areas. The High Atlas Foundation is a Moroccan association and a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2000 by former Peace Corps Volunteers committed to furthering sustainable development. HAF supports Moroccan communities to take action in implementing human development initiatives. It promotes sustainable organic agriculture, women’s empowerment, youth development, education, health, and capacity building. Since 2011, HAF has maintained Consultancy Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Second Servings is dedicated to building a healthier community by providing access to nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste. As Houston's only perishable food rescue organization, we pick up unsold and unserved food from over 400 food businesses, and deliver it promptly and safely to 140 local nonprofits to help nourish about 200,000 struggling Houstonians annually.

Outgrowing Hunger promotes the growth of people and places toward their highest potential for well-being, resilience, and self-reliance by working with refugee and other disadvantaged communities to build gardens which meet the social, nutritional, environmental, and economic needs of the neighborhood.

OpEPA USA, founded in 2006, is a sister organization of OpEPA Colombia founded in 1998. The organizations were created as a means to reconnect children and adults with nature and promote positive environmental actions in Colombia and Latin America. Colombia is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. It has an incredible wealth of ecosystems, flora, fauna and cultural diversity. However, Colombia suffers from serious environmental degradation. Deforestation, high levels of urban waste, polluted water and reduced air quality are just four of a litany of similar issues. The environmental movement in Colombia has employed the range of conventional tactics to address these issues. Public awareness campaigns have dotted the airwaves, and legislative changes have improved the legal basis for pursuing polluters. But young people, "the next generation of consumers and decision makers," cannot be scolded or legislated into caring about the environment. To truly change the way they approach environmental issues, they must feel personally compelled to transform the status quo. This is what OpEPA targets to do.

Our mission can be accomplished by the implementation of the following goals, objectives, and others: Provide safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate-income homebuyers; Encourage citizen participation in fighting crime; Promote enforcement of the City's Housing codes to insure the welfare, health, and safety of the community; Provide recreational and open green space; Promote improvements to the neighborhood's infrastructure (streets and sidewalks).
