The OLPH Future Fund is a registered charity that supports classroom enrichment, events and activities not covered by the TCDSB budget. The Future Fund is managed by the Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC) – made up of parent and teacher representatives, and the Principal. Each year the CSAC determines how to spend these raised funds in order to directly impact each student in the school.

The Guatemala Stove Project (GSP) is a group of North American volunteers that began working in response to a request for help from CEDEC, an indigenous non-profit group working in Guatemala's Altiplano (Western Highlands). CEDEC had identified the need for masonry cookstoves in the communities they serve, but residents lacked the material resources to build stoves for themselves. The Guatemala Stove Project was born out of this need. Currently the GSP works with 3 Guatemalan NGO's. Other activities include emergency relief, sustainable projects promoting nutrition, education, and micro-loans. Because the stoves burn more efficiently family wood consumption is reduced by about 50%. Guatemala loses 2% of its forests annually, mainly to the need for cooking fuel firewood. The Guatemala Stove Project documents its work extensively, photographing each stove and the receiving family. It costs CND $225.00 to provide a stove for a Maya family.

The Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library is a specialized organization in Manitoba with a focus on historic and contemporary crafts. It maintains a museum collection of over 9,000 artifacts and a library of over 3,500 book titles. The museum features exhibits that change three times yearly, while the library is accessible year round to the general public. Programming for adults and children is offered on a regular basis on a variety of hands on, historical and specialty topics.

WHO WE HELP...African children, especially orphans by providing curriculum and supplies and assisting African teachers. Many governments are overwhelmed by their national needs. In some countries, local groups organise schools with whatever limited resources they have available. By partnerships with national NGO’s (Non-Governmental Organizations), we transfer donor funds and materials to meet local educational needs. WHERE WE HELP...Since 1997 our focus has been in Zambia in south-central Africa, In 2003 Malawi also began receiving assistance, as well. Since 2000 more than 20,000 African students and their communities benefitted through EWB offices in Zambia. HOW WE HELP... We organize gifts of supplies and quality curriculum with a character-building focus. ...Pupil books for the primary curriculum are printed in Zambia. ...We provide annual teacher training, and small honoraria to supplement low wages paid by parents through school committees.

WE are the Land Trust Alliance of British Columbia (LTABC) representing 29 land trust members across the province. Associate members (consultants, environmental groups and individuals) bring our total membership to one hundred. Since 1997 when LTABC was established, we have developed educational, research and resource programs that have helped conservation groups steward, protect and restore BC's natural and cultural diversity. The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation is dedicated to the conservation and wise stewardship of Lake Huron's coastal ecosystems. Our coastal priorities include water quality, biodiversity, coastal processes and climate change. We deliver our programs through research, education and community outreach.

We work together with other Hope Story organizations in a multinational context to rescue orphaned and unprotected children and place them in safe, family-style homes where they can thrive in an atmosphere of acceptance, holistic care, and Christian love. In many places we also build schools and develop relevant community impact programs including outreach centers, medical clinics, care centers and our “Keeping Families Together” initiatives. In Canada, Hope Story is a gathering point for men, women and children who dream of long-term sustainable change in the life of another person as a practical, meaningful expression of the heart of God. The Comox Valley Land Trust works with public and private landowners to protect greenspace, ecosystems and landscape scale connectivity in the Comox Valley. We hold 11 conservation covenants on properties that have ecologically significant geology, aquatic features, connectivity, flora and fauna. We also work proactively with Government and the development community to modernize and streamline environmentally friendly land use practices, low impact development technologies and rainwater management.
