Denver Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dating back to 1946, which provides long-term educational and social/emotional counseling and mentoring to boys and girls who are students in the Denver Public Schools who face challenges associated with higher-risk environments. The mission is to empower students to positively shape their lives, successfully complete high school, and pursue post-secondary options. Each student is guided by a Denver Kids Educational SEL Counselor who provides one-to-one counseling to address a variety of needs for each student on an individual basis. Denver Kids are also matched on a one-to-one basis with a volunteer from the community who commits his or her time and energy to serve as a volunteer mentor for a minimum of one year. The volunteer mentor receives training and guidance and serves as a positive adult role model in the student's life.

The Maryland Book Bank is a nonprofit organization committed to cultivating literacy in children from under-resourced neighborhoods.

IDRF empowers poor, rural women and children in India and Nepal tough sustainable development programs.  We provide grants and support for community-based non-profit organizations (NGOs) in each country. After an initial grant, we engage with these NGOs to ensure that projects are sustained and that they respond to local needs efficiently. Our focus areas are eco-friendly rural development, education, healthcare, governance, women's empowerment, and disaster rehabilitation.

The August Wilson Center for African American Culture engages regional and national audiences in its mission of preserving, presenting, interpreting, celebrating and shaping the art, culture and history of African Americans, utilizing the rich history, legacy and culture of African-Americans from Western Pennsylvania as a foundation. Midtown Educational Foundation, through its Midtown Center for boys and Metro Achievement Center for girls, helps close the achievement gap for Chicago’s under-served urban youth ages eight through eighteen. How do we accomplish this?  MEF integrates academics, virtues,and exposure to the world of opportunity beyond the classroom for each child it serves. Programs engage parents and adult mentors in developing students of strong character with a desire for academic excellence, a college education, and service to others.
