The mission of the Krakow Food Bank is to seek out ways to prevent food from being wasted in the Lesser Poland region, and to distribute this saved food to partner NGOs with the aim of alleviating malnutrition problems among underserved segments of the local population.

The Fund mission is to restore education access for Ukrainian children in communities impacted by russian military aggression. The goals of the Fund are: - restoring access to education; - promoting the improvement of the quality of education in Ukraine; - promoting learning and development, as well as providing assistance to talented creative youth; - promoting the development of civic consciousness and leadership among young people; - promoting the restoration of the educational infrastructure of Ukraine after military operations on the territory of Ukraine; - implementation of international standards in the field of education in Ukraine.

Gen.Ukrainian is a non-governmental organisation that studies childhood during the war, creates innovative psychological rehabilitation programs for children and adolescents who have had a traumatic experience as a result of the war: lost parents, survived captivity, forced deportation and occupation. We organise psychological intensives, conduct active scientific work and promote structural changes in the state system of education and health care so that no child is left behind. Our mission is to do everything possible so that the war does not rob our children of their childhood and does not become a burden for their future.

SpivDiia is a charitable foundation that coordinates the efforts of volunteers, businesses, international organisations and the state, all aimed at developing self-sufficiency among Ukrainians and facilitating positive changes in Ukraine. Our mission is to connect the needs of Ukrainians with the opportunities for nationwide assistance. Our core values include: 1) human-centricity All of our internal processes are person-centered and our service ecosystem is centered around people and their needs. 2)co-action (is called "SpivDiia" in Ukrainian) We unite the efforts of the SpivDiia community, other people, the state, the local government, business and civil society to achieve ambitious goals aimed at building a service ecosystem for the self-sufficiency of Ukrainians and improving the country's well-being. Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.

Bringing access to knowledge where it's most needed Since 2007, Bibliotheques Sans Frontieres (Libraries Without Borders) has worked to bring knowledge and information to people in need. We provide access and resources that connect people to books and digital resources, expanding the reach of libraries, training facilitators in post-emergency situations, and addressing the needs of under-resourced communities. From laundromats in Oakland, California, to refugee camps in Bangladesh, we bring tools to reduce inequality of access to information and knowledge.

Humans in the Loop is a hybrid between a non-profit foundation and a for-profit social enterprise which has been working for the past 6 years towards the inclusion of refugees and conflict-affected people in the AI supply chain, as well as in the digital work field, through upskilling and paid remote work opportunities. Our shared mission is to provide a diverse group of conflict-affected and displaced people with access to career development support, upskilling, and remote work opportunities to train and monitor AI systems. We are active across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, and our work related opportunities are primarily focused on communities affected by armed conflict and are distributed with priority to countries where other remote online job opportunities are unavailable as for example Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon. In our additional partner countries Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, and the DRC, with upcoming pilots in Kenya and Uganda, we concentrate on upskilling opportunities, equipping people with freelance related skills and then further supporting them in applying for remote work on platforms such as UpWork through our Mictrofreelancing self-paced course. Our foundation has its own training platform where we conduct trainings in English, Digital Skills, as well as data annotation skills and remote work, and everything is available online. We have developed our own proprietary modules on topics such as bias in AI and ethical AI, Cybersecurity when working online, and data annotation techniques, as well as professional courses which are either instructor-led or self-paced on topics such as Digital Marketing, Intro to Programming, Intro to Graphic Design, or Intro to Business Analytics. To date, more than 500 individuals have completed courses on our platform. Now, we want to develop our course offerings further by developing new courses on generative AI skills and real-time monitoring of AI systems, performing red team testing on AI systems, and providing feedback for reinforcement learning. Many of our trainees are already working for our social enterprise as data annotators, working on projects related to image labelling, data collection, and real-time monitoring and edge case handling of AI systems. To date, we have provided paid remote employment to more than 1,100 people. Our goal is to ensure that they progress further in their careers in the AI field and to provide them with opportunities to access further employment on freelancing platforms, or with other employers. We have partnered before with Upwork's "Opportunity Unlimited" program in order to introduce them to online freelancing, and we also have a small-scale career counselling program. Now, our goal is to expand these career development programs in order to help our graduates join the workforce of the future and contribute to making AI systems more inclusive and mitigate harmful biases.

We are inspired to work to provide a new standard of living and opportunities for children deprived of parental care, children in difficult life circumstances, children of IDPs, children of fallen heroes and all children affected by the war in Ukraine.

Save Ukraine, a charitable organization, aids families and children affected by war. It offers a comprehensive rescue network coordinating efforts to evacuate individuals from conflict zones, rebuild their lives, and reunite deported children from Russia. We are coordinating tens of organizations, volunteers, individuals and legal entities to help internally displaced persons. Experienced volunteers, civic activists, specialists in various fields - we all joined the Foundation to be useful to Ukraine and Ukrainians at a crucial moment in our country's history.

Hospices of Hope's mission is to improve the quality of life for patients in South East Europe who are suffering from a terminal or life-limiting illness through increasing access to palliative care services and palliative care education. Palliative care aims to address the physical, emotional, spirtual and social needs of the patient and give support and guidance to their family members. We fulfil our mission by working with our in-country partner organisations in Romania, Serbia, Albania, Moldova, Greece and Ukraine (which together make up the Hospices of Hope Network) and supporting the training of health care professionals throughout Central and Eastern Europe. All care is provided free of charge to patients and their families. The four main pillars of our work are: 1) advocacy, for example lobbying governments to provide more resources and funding for palliative care and changing legislation where necessary, 2) technical expertise, for example providing expert advice on all aspects of fundraising or hospice buildings, 3) training, for example providing volunteer expert trainers from the UK or USA to help train local staff and 4) providing funding to help grow and develop palliative care services and education. We always aim to provide models of care that can be replicated in other cities or countries in the region, for example in Romania, our hospice was the only one for 10 years, but through our educational initiatives, there are now more than 100 functioning palliative care organisations in the country.
