MONTESSORI SCHOOL TO CARE FOR AND EDUCATE CHILDREN AGES 2 1/2 TO 7 YEARS OLD. THE MONTESSORI SCHOOL PROVIDED CARE AND EDUCATION FOR 58 STUDENTS DURING THE TAX YEAR IN AN AFFORDABLE COMMUNITY SETTING.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A NOT-FOR-PROFIT PRESCHOOL.

THE PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL OPERATES AS PART OFTHE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH ITS FOCUS ON PROVIDING A HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN THAT EMPOWERS FA MI LIES THRO UGH A CULTURALLY SENSITIVE FAMILY LITERACY MODEL

WEST SIDE MONTESSORI IS A FAMILY-ORIENTED EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY ENGAGING AND INSPIRING CHILDREN TO DISCOVER THEIR POTENTIAL WITHIN AN ENVIRONMENT PROMOTING MUTUAL RESPECT, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, NATURAL CURIOSITY AND A LOVE OF LEARNING.

We are committed to respecting, encouraging, and supporting each child in the process of growing socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Through providing an environment that invites children to observe, to be active, to make choices and to experiment we provide opportunity for children to develop a sense of competence and initiative.

EDUCATION (PRESCHOOL-ELEMENTARY-MIDDLE)

Neighborhood House Nursery School is operated by the Neighborhood Association, a non-profit, community-based organization. Opened in 1920 and located in a charming Victorian house just one block from Taylor Park, the NHNS provides a home away from home environment where children learn to love the process of learning and discovery. NHNS also creates a unique opportunity to connect learning to our natural environment with the use of our garden area. The pre-school program is open to children of parents who live or work in Millburn/Short Hills and the surrounding communities. Our staff works diligently to prepare each child for the transition to elementary school through fostering confidence, self-awareness and the ability to connect all learning to the world in which we live.

Discovery Preschool will provide high-quality early education, inclusive of all young children and their families, by fostering a sense of community and encouraging the children to discover new things about themselves, their friends, and the world around them.

Friends of Waltham Family School, Inc. (FWFS) supports Waltham Family School in its mission to provide educational opportunities for families who want to learn English. The mission of FWFS is to raise financial support; to raise awareness of the Waltham Family School in the community; and to recruit volunteers. Waltham Family School (WFS) empowers English Language Learner families to be literate, self-sufficient and connected to the greater Waltham Community.

TO DEVELOP EACH CHILD IN AN ACADEMICALLY CHALLENGING AND NURTURING JEWISH ENVIRONMENT, SO THAT EACH CHILD APPLIES LEARNED WISDOM AND COMPASSION TO SUCCESSFULLY NAVIGATE AN EVER-CHANGING WORLD.

THE WALDORF SCHOOL OF GARDEN CITY EDUCATES CHILDREN TO MEET THE WORLD WITH PURPOSE, GRATITUDE AND RESPECT. OUR CURRICULUM, INSPIRED BY RUDOLF STEINER, PROGRESSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHILD DEVELOPMENT, AWAKENING STUDENTS TO THE EXPERIENCE OF KNOWLEDGE, STRENGTHENING THEIR SENSE OF MORAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND EMPOWERING THEM TO ACT WITH COURAGE AND CONVICTION.
