Better Beginnings has been serving the Hightstown-East Windsor area since 1967, providing subsidized childcare, giving parents the opportunity to be employed, self-supporting, contributing members of their community, while maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment for children. The purpose of the Advisory Council is to strengthen the parent/caregiver commitment to the Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program in District 271. The council will advise the Bloomington ECFE program in planning, needs assessment and program development with the goal of improving and enhancing the program and its mission. The council will raise community awareness for the program by serving as a communication link between the program and the community.The council also advises and advocates on behalf of Bloomington Early Learning Services (ELS), which includes ECFE, Early Childhood Screening, preschool programming for three-year-olds and four-year-olds, and Early Childhood Special Education.

The Association of Child Development Specialists is a professional organization for those who foster the adaptive development of children through creative programming, preventive intervention, and public advocacy. ACDS joins together Child Development professionals whose focus is to facilitate the adaptive development of children in the various environments that constitute their life experiences, including home, school, play, and therapeutic settings. The Child Development Specialist represents a discipline that uses a psycho-educational approach to therapy encompassing both prevention and intervention. This specialty includes evaluating a child’s developmental status, planning and coordinating an intervention program, providing direct counseling for children and their families, advising parents, and collaborating and consulting with other child service providers.

With a foundation of respect for self and others and a strong emphasis on cultural appreciation, our staff and parents create a supportive network for families to help children become well-rounded individuals. MSGL is a not-for-profit, parent-owned Montessori school serving Tippecanoe County, Indiana since 1972. We offer programs for more than 150 children between the ages of 1 and 9 years on our beautiful campus overlooking the Wabash River Valley in West Lafayette. We are accredited by the American Montessori Society.
