Calvert School is an independent lower and middle school for girls and boys located in Baltimore, Maryland. Children are prepared for secondary school and for a lifetime of learning by mastering the academic basics. Through its financial aid and recruitment efforts, Calvert strives to offer an educational opportunity to students of all socio-economic backgrounds.
Our goal is for the young children who attend our program to enter kindergarten "ready to succeed." We accomplish this goal by: (1) providing the necessary early intervention services for those children "at-risk" of failure when they enter the public schools; (2) promoting strong families to support children as they grow, develop and enter the public schools; (3) providing staff with the support and training necessary to work with children and parents with diverse backgrounds and abilities; (4) maintaining a high-quality, early childhood program with a stable professionally trained staff.
