Founded in 1942, Coro's mission is to strengthen our democratic system of self-governance by training individuals who as citizens and leaders will act constructively and effectively to build up and improve their communities and societies as a whole. Using a proprietary curriculum involving sector placements, group participation, interviews, and seminars, Coro participants learn about leadership across multiple sectors, industries, and issues. Coro's training enhances participants' skills in the following areas: analysis and critical thinking; effective communication; inquiry; and ethical decision-making, among others. In its 68-year history, Coro has graduated thousands of leaders from its many programs. Coro graduates have become teachers, investment bankers, union leaders, corporate directors, activists, lawyers, journalists, and elected officials, among other professions. Coro graduates use the skills and commitment to integrity they developed to guide them throughout their life's journeys, and to strengthen our local and national democracy.

American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley (ALF) mission is to build a better Silicon Valley community by joining and strengthening leaders to serve the common good. ALF pursues this objective by bringing together a broad cross-section of leaders who are committed to building a stronger community, by developing collaborative leadership skills to identify and deal with complex and difficult issues, and by providing leaders with opportunities to work together in ways that can make a difference.

At P2L we believe that all children have the creative and intellectual power to be a positive agent in their schools, communities, and lives. Our students are challenged on a daily basis by stress, violence, and poverty; this impacts their ability to learn, make positive decisions, and form healthy relationships. For many, these challenges are overwhelming: they struggle academically, fall behind, and drop out. P2L works with students, teachers, and parents to change this trajectory. Through mentoring and interactive curriculum based in learning science, child development, social emotional learning, and neuroscience we help students to build self -image, resiliency, and social skills, and we motivate and teach them self-direction, self-management, and goal setting to enable them to become thriving and successful adults.

Re:Gender, formerly National Council for Research on Women, works to end gender inequity and discrimination against girls and women by exposing root causes and advancing research-informed action. Working with multiple sectors and disciplines, we are shaping a world that demands fairness across difference.

Founded in 1923, the Better Government Association is an independent, non-partisan government watchdog groufraud and corruption in government by conducting investigative research and litigation to expose problems; researching policy solutions promoting transparency and accountability in government; and using internship programs to train the next generation of investigators and public interest lawyers.

The mission of Mt. Irenaeus is to join with Jesus Christ in “making all things new!” (Revelation 21:5) Rooted in the (Catholic) Franciscan tradition, the Mt. Irenaeus community is committed to simple, joyful, healing communion with God and all creation through contemplation and the communal experience of God’s justice, love and peace in contemporary everyday life. Life at Mt. Irenaeus is centered on attending to what is primary: presence to God, others, one’s self, and the earth. The Parent-Child Home Program’s (PCHP) nationwide network of program sites provides under-resourced families with the necessary tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. We assist underserved communities in replicating and expanding our proven school readiness program that supports early parent-child verbal interaction and learning at home.The proven Program effectively bridges the achievement gap through its unique focus on intensive home visiting (twice a week over a two year period) with two and three-year-olds and their parents. Highly trained community based early literacy specialists model reading, play, and conversation activities using books and educational toys that are gifts to the family.

The Coro New York Leadership Center was founded on the principle that an informed and engaged citizenry and broad public participation are critical to a vital democratic society. We are committed to equipping individuals of all ages and from all backgrounds with the knowledge and skills they need to play active leadership roles across the public, private and non-profit sectors. We teach Coro participants how policy decisions are made in New York, the avenues that exist for citizen participation, and the skills they need to effect change on behalf of the cause or community to which they are committed.

The mission of Wilderness Leadership & Leaning (WILL) is to provide diverse growth experiences and challenging learning opportunities to inspire and assist youth to make good decisions, become effective leaders, and achieve their goals.

State Voices is committed to creating a fair and just society by advancing racial equity and working to make our democracy more accessible, inclusive, and representative. The State Voices Affiliated Network is a nonpartisan infrastructure of permanent state-based coalitions called “State Tables,” advocates, and organizers fighting for a healthy democracy and political power which includes Black, Indigenous, Latinx, AAPI people, and all people of color (BIPOC). The work we do is guided by a simple mission: using data and technology, people-powered campaigns, and coalitions to collectively build a multiracial democracy that allows everyone to thrive and live in their full dignity.
