Generation after generation, the students who have enrolled at LIU Brooklyn have come from varied, primarily urban backgrounds. Like their predecessors, many of today's students are new to America and new to the English language or are the first in their families to seek a university education. At LIU Brooklyn, all students find an academic community where cultural, ethnic, religious, racial, sexual, and individual differences are respected and where commonalities are affirmed. This requires the Campus to be open and welcoming, even as it maintains respect for intellectual, cultural and academic traditions.

New Directions believes that people who have disabilities deserve the same opportunities in life that others expect and enjoy. Our profoundly enriching travel programs expand the self-esteem of every traveler. Whole new worlds of understanding open for both participants and the general population. National Dance Institute (NDI) was founded in 1976 by New York City Ballet principal dancer Jacques d’Amboise in the belief that the arts have a unique power to engage children of every background, ability, and socioeconomic position, and motivate them toward excellence. Since its founding, NDI has impacted the lives of over two million children...free of charge.

The Hip Hop Museum's mission is to teach, engage and inspire audiences around the world through the creativity and power of Hip Hop Culture. The THHM carries out its mission by giving voice to the stories of the people, events and artifacts that shaped the five elements of Hip Hop — through digital collections, virtual exhibits, interviews, pop-up experiences, award shows, and a wide array of innovative educational programs and activities, bringing new understanding, fresh interpretation and scholarship to the world's most popular culture of our time. The Dream Builders Project is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in Los Angeles, California in October 2013. Since its beginning, The Dream Builders Project has had one goal in mind: to make a positive difference on the community and the world at large. As a “charity for charities,” The Dream Builders Project is not bound to any particular group or cause. This allows the DBP to join forces with many great and sometimes overlooked charities and nonprofits to make the most profound impact. Some of the main causes The DBP focuses on include homelessness, child abuse and neglect, education, fighting human trafficking, and improving living standards in orphanages across the world. The DBP is dedicated to making the biggest impact per dollar. By doing extensive research and having a vetting system in place, the DBP is able to ensure that all donations and volunteer efforts are spent in the most impactful and productive way possible. Once a genuine organization has been vetted, The DBP is able to provide services including: – financial support – campaign creation and execution – volunteer and administrative support – website marketing and public relations – special events and galas By being a charity for charities, The Dream Builders Project does the leg work to make sure that your time, money, and energy is being spent in most productive and impactful way.
