Bibliotheques sans Frontieres

Bringing access to knowledge where it's most needed Since 2007, Bibliotheques Sans Frontieres (Libraries Without Borders) has worked to bring knowledge and information to people in need. We provide access and resources that connect people to books and digital resources, expanding the reach of libraries, training facilitators in post-emergency situations, and addressing the needs of under-resourced communities. From laundromats in Oakland, California, to refugee camps in Bangladesh, we bring tools to reduce inequality of access to information and knowledge.

Ordinary People

The goal of the public organization "Ordinary People" is to provide assistance to vulnerable segments of the population, particularly residents of the most affected regions, primarily Kharkiv Oblast, as well as other areas of our country, during Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The organization's specific objectives include: 1. Providing psychological support to those whose lives have been disrupted by the war, including assistance in conflict-affected and frontline territories, supporting those facing panic attacks, loss of loved ones, adaptation to new environments, despair, and apathy. 2. Creating safe spaces for children and youth, aimed at education, rehabilitation, and entertainment within a social project framework. 3. Assisting local self-government bodies and residents in the reconstruction of residential buildings, public facilities, infrastructure, and cultural-educational life. 4. Delivering urgent aid to the population affected by the damage to critical infrastructure due to Russia's armed aggression. This involves providing necessary resources such as generators, fuel for them, stoves, gas burners, power banks, warm blankets, and others, to ensure alternative sources of energy and warmth. 5. Providing food assistance, including food packages, hot meals, medications, and other essentials for survival. 6. Organizing "Clubs of Ukrainian Resilience" which aim to create a communal space for citizens to offer extensive support to the population of Ukraine, especially those who have displayed unwavering determination, courage, and resilience during challenging and testing periods of the country's history. 7. Establishing warming centers, equipping bomb shelters with electricity, heating, and communication, providing access to psychological support, education, and medical aid. 8. Hospices of Hope Ltd

Hospices of Hope's mission is to improve the quality of life for patients in South East Europe who are suffering from a terminal or life-limiting illness through increasing access to palliative care services and palliative care education. Palliative care aims to address the physical, emotional, spirtual and social needs of the patient and give support and guidance to their family members. We fulfil our mission by working with our in-country partner organisations in Romania, Serbia, Albania, Moldova, Greece and Ukraine (which together make up the Hospices of Hope Network) and supporting the training of health care professionals throughout Central and Eastern Europe. All care is provided free of charge to patients and their families. The four main pillars of our work are: 1) advocacy, for example lobbying governments to provide more resources and funding for palliative care and changing legislation where necessary, 2) technical expertise, for example providing expert advice on all aspects of fundraising or hospice buildings, 3) training, for example providing volunteer expert trainers from the UK or USA to help train local staff and 4) providing funding to help grow and develop palliative care services and education. We always aim to provide models of care that can be replicated in other cities or countries in the region, for example in Romania, our hospice was the only one for 10 years, but through our educational initiatives, there are now more than 100 functioning palliative care organisations in the country.

Stichting People For People

The People for People brand aims to build a collective of decisive people who have founded or work at companies that care. From ESG managers to CEOs, these individuals are solution-minded, capable of making fast decisions, and focused on implementing impact at scale. When a large-scale crisis occurs and people are forced to flee their homes, they feel the responsibility to act. They are not experts in medical aid, construction or military operations - but they can tap into their businesses to deliver much-needed supplies, services and infrastructure quickly. When people are suddenly forced from home due to large-scale disasters, we call on our collective responsibility to help as many people as possible as quickly as possible - regardless of their nationality or background. We focus our eorts on the people that might otherwise be missed or fall behind. We pay special attention to young people and their families, directly asking them about their needs. United in our eorts, we aim to bring back humanity in crisis response.
