Foundation For Environmental Education

Established in 1981, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is one of the world's largest environmental education organisations, with over 100 member organisations in 81 countries. At the heart of the FEE are our five programmes. Coordinated by the Head Office in Copenhagen and implemented by our members around the world, our programmes aim to bring positive change on a global scale: The internationally recognized Eco-Schools programme engages young people in quality environmental education and meaningful action. Through a seven-step framework, pupils are empowered and motivated to drive change and improve environmental awareness in their school, local community and beyond. Close to 50,000 schools around the world are part of the Eco-Schools programme. Learning about Forests (LEAF) advocates for outdoor learning and hands-on experiences, allowing students to connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world. While the LEAF programme started with a focus on tree-based ecosystems, today it includes a diversity of ecosystems to foster skills and knowledge by exposing learners to outdoor experiences. LEAF is implemented in 28 countries. Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is an award-winning programme that empowers young people to take an educated stand on environmental issues they feel strongly about and gives them a platform to articulate these issues through the media of writing, photography and video. Over 300,000 students engage in the YRE programme yearly. The iconic Blue Flag programme is one of the world's most recognized eco-tourism awards for beaches, marinas, and tourist boat operators. In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained. Over 5,000 beaches, marinas and tourism boats are currently awarded. Green Key is a voluntary eco-certification programme. With more than 4,000 certified hotels and other establishments in 60 countries, Green Key is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism and hospitality industry. With 40 years of impactful experience in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), FEE's strategic plan - GAIA 20:30 - prioritises climate action across all five programmes to address the urgent threats of climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental pollution. FEE's Environmental Education Principles The member organisations of FEE have agreed upon these principles to guide our work towards excellence in EE/ESD: 1. Ensure that participants are engaged in the learning/teaching process. 2. Encourage participants to make reasonable decisions and actions on real life sustainability issues. 3. Encourage participants to work together actively and involve their communities in collaborative solutions. 4. Support participants to examine their assumptions, knowledge, and experiences, in order to develop critical thinking and to be open to change. 5. Encourage participants to be aware of cultural practices as an integral part of sustainability issues. 6. Encourage participants to share inspirational stories of their achievements, failures, and values, to learn from them and to support each other. 7. Continuously explore, test and share innovative approaches, methodologies, and techniques. 8. Ensuring continuous improvements through monitoring and evaluating are central focus of our programmes. The CISV OUEST (West) is a local committee affiliated with CISV France and the international CISV, which is a non-political, non-denominational, and multicultural volunteer organization. CISV was founded in 1950, at the end of last world war, by the American psychologist Doris Allen. It primarily caters to children and adolescents with the goal of promoting the acquisition of attitudes, skills, and knowledge to foster connections and understanding among individuals from all countries, thereby contributing to peace. The association advocates for equal opportunities for all through the respect for diversity.

Plan International France

As a member of the global network Plan International, the NGO Plan International France works alongside girls to ensure their rights are respected and to achieve equality. Since 1993, with its teams on the ground, our NGO has been developing programs to combat the inequalities faced by girls and, more broadly, all children. These programs implement sustainable solutions built in collaboration with local communities and partners. In France, it also conducts advocacy work with policymakers and raises public awareness about gender equality. The four priority objectives of Plan International France are: Protection: Plan International France contributes to the creation of a protective environment that respects their rights so that all girls can grow up and become emancipated (protection against gender-based violence in schools, genital mutilation, forced marriages and early pregnancies, forced labor, etc.). Access to inclusive and quality education and vocational training: Education and training are among the most powerful tools that allow children and young people to access their rights, understand them, and ensure they are respected. Plan International France works to ensure that all children can attend school and receive a quality education. Sexual and reproductive health: Plan International France works to guarantee universal and continuous access to sexual and reproductive health services, including in emergency situations, to protect the health and well-being of adolescents and to combat their dropping out of school. Youth participation: Young people must be able to express themselves freely, be heard, and take part in decisions that affect them. Plan International France works to ensure that they are informed about their rights and are supported to become actors of change.

Using all possible public information and training programs, in cities in the world where issues related to social exclusion arise (such as problems of shelter, food, access to care, psychological suffering and any other consequence of rejection and the breakdown of human, economic and social links), to create, promote and support services similar to those operated by "Samusocial de Paris" meeting the criteria set out in the objectives and charter of Samusocial International, and to develop all missions directly or indirectly related thereto. The Association's objectives shall also include collecting funds and organising finance on national territory to support Samusocial organisations, in accordance with the spirit of Paris Samusocial and, in the same conditions, creating, supporting and assisting the action, research and special interests of Samusocial organisations overseas.

Bringing access to knowledge where it's most needed Since 2007, Bibliotheques Sans Frontieres (Libraries Without Borders) has worked to bring knowledge and information to people in need. We provide access and resources that connect people to books and digital resources, expanding the reach of libraries, training facilitators in post-emergency situations, and addressing the needs of under-resourced communities. From laundromats in Oakland, California, to refugee camps in Bangladesh, we bring tools to reduce inequality of access to information and knowledge.

ABConservation Foundation Inc.

Arctictis Binturong Conservation is the only association in the world, entirely dedicated to the study and protection of a charming little Southeast Asian mammal: the binturong. Very little known and under-studied by scientists, everything about it remains to be discovered. We work both in Europe, North America and in the field in Asia to promote, inform, raise awareness, transmit, study and protect this fascinating animal. We have two main branches. One is in France where everything debuted in 2014. The other main one is in Palawan, in the Philippines. There is also two other smaller branches in England and a really new one that is in development in the United States of America. Studying the ecology and behavior of the binturong to create an appropriate conservation program, using this new knowledge to promote its image and raise public awareness of the importance of nature: these are the main challenges that our association tries to meet every day. Right now we have two programmes in the Philippines: - the Bearcat Study Programme (BSP): The overall aim of the project is to improve knowledge of the ecology and behavior of the binturong, as well as discovering the true status of its population in Palawan. Our scientific studies combine photographic trapping and radio-tracking to obtain vital information for the creation of an appropriate conservation program. - the From Awareness to Actions for Nature Conservation (AANC): Through our actions, we aim to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting nature and the biodiversity that surrounds us, also by promoting the image of the binturong. Because raising awareness is protecting! Below, more details on the different projects: BSP: Since 2017, the goal of the "Bearcat Study Programme" is to improve knowledge of specific aspects of the ecology and natural behavior of the binturong. The final goal will be to estimate the distribution and the size of the binturong population on the island of Palawan. This knowledge is crucial for the establishment of a conservation program perfectly adaptated to the needs of the species. Because in the end how can we protect something that we don't know? As a result, the studies we have set up focus on three themes: - Studying interactions between the binturong and the forests of Palawan, - Studying eating habits and social behaviour of the binturong in Palawan, - Studying the size of the vital area of the binturong in Palawan. To succed in our research, we are curently trying to track a wild individual and put a GPS-equipped transmitter collar on it. This will enable us to collect key data on the binturong's behaviour and the use of its territory, using data from photo trapping and the radio collar. All the results of our studies are or will be the subject of scientific publications, most of which are freely accessible. Since 2023, photographic traps have been installed in a protected area in the center of the island to highlight the binturong's preferences in terms of micro-environment. The data are still being acquired. The aim is to repeat this protocol in other parts of the island. This will enable us to assess the characteristics common to the areas in which the binturong is most frequently observed. This will also help us to categorize Palawan's different habitats according to their suitability for the binturong's needs, and the characteristics identified may enable us to rehabilitate different kind of environments suitable for the binturong. Since 2024, we have also reinstalled camera traps in our first study forest, located further to the northeast of the island. The aim is to analyze the impact of typhoon Odette in 2021 on the binturong's population and thus study their resilience. AANC: Our planet is currently facing a number of threats such as the pollution (air, water, soil), the deforestation or the climate change. Because of that, we believe that we need to take initiatives. Indeed, as Robert Swan OBE said, "the greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it". Whether it's our consumption of energy or food, there are many examples to show that we can choose to act on a daily basis more respectfuly of the Nature. Because there's only one, it is important to protect our planet. This program has two main aims: - Sustainably reach out to as many people as possible, of all ages and backgrounds. Generating curiosity about the biodiversity that surrounds us also means realizing its importance. Indeed, we are dependent on Nature and its proper functioning. By becoming aware of our impact, we can all act positively to counter the threats facing our planet. - Generate concrete actions for the protection and conservation of the environment with the initiation to zero-waste, to the concept of consumption actors (choose local food and seasonal for example), planting trees of local species or a more eco-friendly consumption of water and electricity. Last year, we created an environmental education program for primary schools. Thus, since November 2024, we have been organizing weekly classes at the Irawan primary school. The programme comprises 5 themes: Environment, Contamination and waste; Environmental protection; Environmental quality; Climate and natural phenomena; Natural resources. Through this project, the objectives are to raise awareness of environmental issues, to provide an understanding of natural systems, to develop and diversify skills related to the environment (waste reduction, energy efficiency...), as well as promoting sustainable lifestyles. The aim is to extend this programme to more schools. We would also like to train teachers so that they can independently pursue environmental awareness actions. In the same spirit as the World Binturong Day, celebrated every year on the second Saturday of May, we set up, throughout this month, a series of events aimed at raising awareness among different audiences within schools, universities and local communities. On this occasion, various educational and awareness-raising activities are developed to highlight the binturong, inform about the threats facing it and, more generally, promote an awareness of environmental issues. Particular attention is paid to the concrete solutions and actions that everyone can undertake at their own level, in order to contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and the environment. Outside of this month, we also organize awareness-raising activities in schools, universities, local communities and at events related to the environment. In France and in England, our educational and awareness branch is based on the same missions. In the Philippines our main idea is really to work with the local communities, the government and the general public to raise actions for the protection of the environment and biodiversity in Palawan and in the same way the preservation and the conservation of the binturong. Our team in both Filipino and French and we think it is also one of the most important part of our project. This is how we work to study, raise awareness and protect our little protege, the binturong.

ADEPAPE 69

ADEPAPE 69 is a non-profit French association dedicated to people who have experienced placement during their Childhood (ADEPAPE's are also quoted in the official French Family & Social Action code, and officially play a role in social inclusion). These people may be adults who were recognized as "ward of the state", but also people who have migrated and have subsequently been admitted to child protection. ADEPAPE 69 plays a deep role in the areas of insertion, integration and social support. Young and older adults can be guided especially during this critical period when foster children attain the age of majority. The strong bond between individuals, social advisers and members of the volunteer team assists them in finding their way and achieving their life projects.

Founded in 2018, the ITTF Foundation was created by the International Table Tennis Federation as an independent nonprofit organization. The Foundation aims to create positive impacts through table tennis in communities worldwide. The ITTF Foundation operates through five programs to foster development through table tennis, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team tirelessly designs and implements initiatives that promote inclusivity, education, and empowerment, ensuring that the sport becomes a catalyst for positive social change. As a nonprofit organization we collaborate closely with local project implementation partners while we assist with planning, financial support, and knowledge sharing. Additionally, we connect with the Parkinson's community globally to promote the use of table tennis for enhancing well-being and health, particularly against neurodegenerative diseases.

Our mission is urgent and clear: to conduct life-saving search and rescue operations at sea, providing immediate relief to those in distress and ensuring their safety, health, and protection until they reach a place of safety. Since 2016, reflecting our commitment to humanity and solidarity, we have rescued more than 41,000 people from over 50 countries - more than 10,000 of whom were children.

The organisation reflects its members' shared concern for the future of humanity and the planet. The association sees its task as acting as an independent, global catalyst for change. The objectives of the Association are therefore: to identify the key issues that are critical to the future of humanity; to evaluate alternative scenarios for the future and assess risks, choices and opportunities through integrated and forward-looking analyses; to develop and propose practical solutions to the identified challenges; to communicate new insights and knowledge from these analyses to decision-makers in the public and private sectors, as well as to the wider public; to stimulate public debate and effective action to improve the prospects for the future of humanity and the planet. The Association's activities are guided by the following three complementary principles: 1. the need to adopt a global, systems-oriented perspective in analysing the problems facing the modern world, recognising that the increasing interdependence of nations and the globalisation of previously local problems create challenges that are beyond the capacity of individual countries. 2. the need for a comprehensive, holistic approach in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity and interconnectedness of both current problems and practical solutions, in political, social, economic, technological, environmental, psychological and cultural terms, which the association refers to as the 'world problematique'. 3. the need to emphasise transdisciplinary and long-term perspectives, which are all too often neglected by governments and other decision-makers, and to focus on those decisions, strategies and measures that will determine the fate of present and future generations. The aim is to arouse public interest and provide responsible decision-makers with a solid basis for formulating and implementing future-oriented measures. The association does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not seek to make a profit.

ONY

ONY supports Malagasy cultural and creative industries stakeholders in their development and professionalization through training, mentoring, access to international standard equipment, and networking opportunities. ONY's objective is to support and give visibility to Malagasy creativity, encourage collaborations between artists and creative people from different backgrounds, share skills and know-how between local, regional and international professionals, and eventually foster the emergence of an ecosystem of projects in the film, video game and music sectors. An ecosystem that would accelerate the development of cultural and creative industries in Madagascar and create a regional dynamic in the Indian Ocean, thus promoting economic opportunities, the identification of talents and cultural exchanges. To do so, ONY is developing 3 different programs: 1. ONY BOOSTER: an annual call for projects targeting emerging organizations in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) in Madagascar through a 6 to 12 months support (mentorship program, access to a wide international network of opportunities, access to the ONY House in Antananarivo, and personalized weekly coaching). 2. ONY Academy: through its partners, ONY engages with a wide network of professionals that deliver training and coaching to local artists and young people eager to make their talent grow in the cultural and creative industries. 4. ONY House: ONY has opened a unique hub in Antananarivo dedicated to CCIs. The 400m space will be operated by ONY and will provide local CCI entrepreneurs with a place with affordable but premium work conditions and the opportunity to showcase their artistic work to a wider audience.
