La mission de Créations Etc… s’articule autour de quatre objectifs : - Favoriser, principalement par les arts, l’intégration sociale des jeunes issus de milieux urbains sensibles - Permettre aux jeunes d’aborder la pratique des arts de la scène par le biais de la création - Promouvoir et diffuser des spectacles contemporains, reflétant les tendances artistiques en arts de la scène, conçus par des artistes de la relève professionnelle du Québec et de la francophonie canadienne et internationale - Développer des activités novatrices et structurantes dans le but de sensibiliser des nouveaux publics à des nouvelles formes d’art Les activités régulières de Créations Etc… sont : - Le Projet d’intervention Rousselot (1995) - La Camp des Arts Créations Etc…(1998) - Le festival Vue sur la Relève (1996) Autour de chacune de ses activités régulières, l’organisme développe des projets spéciaux répondant à des besoins de sa clientèle.

The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation is a distinct charitable Foundation that raises money for conservation projects and is strategically poised to assist Credit Valley Conservation with the daunting task of environmental protection. Blazing new trails, creating woodland habitats, naturalizing urban areas and providing environmental education are just some of the initiatives funded and led by the CVC Foundation. Members and donors to the CVC Foundation firmly believe that our personal health, economic well-being and quality of life are inextricably linked to the health of our natural environment. The funds raised by the Foundation are used exclusively in support of CVC projects.

Crime Stoppers is a community service program which helps solve and prevent crime in your neighbourhood by combining the efforts of the police, media and the public. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit charitable organization funded by tax exempt contributions from citizens, businesses and service groups. A board of directors comprised of involved citizens establish policy, raise funds, and oversee reward payments. It encourages people to call Crime Stoppers with information to solve crimes already committed, ones about to occur, and/or the wereabouts of wanted persons, missing persons, narcotics, or stolen property.

In 1974, a group of independent dancers joined together to create and perform new choreography -- to push the boundaries of creation. It has now been three decades, and Dancemakers remains on the leading edge of contemporary dance in Canada. Under the artistic direction of Serge Bennathan from 1990 to 2006, the company's reputation has continued to spread throughout Canada, the Americas and Europe. In August 2006, award-winning dancer/choreographer Michael Trent was invited to take the lead as the Company's and Centre's Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer. At the core of the Company's and the Centre's philosophy is the desire to promote and facilitate new creation, and professional and audience development activities that are rooted in contemporary aesthetics, cross-disciplinary dialogues and collaborative engagement.

Our service is in Danish the first and third Sunday of each month. We use English on the remaining Sundays and all major holidays. The service is usually at 11:00 Sunday morning.

Formed in 1984, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (DJD) is one of a mere handful of professional full-time companies worldwide dedicated to jazz dance and music. DJD shows incorporate live jazz music whenever possible and attract over 25,000 people in Calgary annually. DJD employs 7–14 full-time dancers and has toured across Canada, to Chicago, Japan, Turks & Caicos, and Cuba. DJD has enriched the lives of over 260,000 students through our many Arts in Education programs including bursaries for children from low-income families, school touring and residencies. Our School has over 1,000 students ages 2-82 enrolled in recreational and pre-professional classes. DJD has a solid record of fiscal responsibility and sustainability. The company has operated in the black since 1996. Our annual operating budget has grown from $425,000 in 1986 to our current level of $2 million. DJD’s operations are financed through earned revenues (49%), fundraising (34%) and government grants (17%).

Farm Radio International is a Canadian charity that has been working since 1979 to harness the power of radio to meet the needs of small-scale farmers. We work with more than 500 radio partners located in 38 African countries to fight poverty and food insecurity. With the benefit of FRI resources and training, our broadcasting partners deliver practical, relevant, and timely information to tens of millions of farmers. We also work with a range of partners to implement radio projects that address specific development challenges and community needs. In 2012, FRI received the Innovation Challenge Award from the Rockefeller Foundation in recognition of our work using radio in combination with modern ICTs to improve livelihoods and change lives.

If you were asked to name two great leaders of Canadian Socialism, it is likely that Tommy Douglas and M.J. Coldwell would come to mind. Their life-long contributions to social democracy in Canada and around the globe are well celebrated. One dream they shared was to create a Canadian equivalent to Britain's Fabian Society, an independent left-wing group unobligated to any other organization or political party. In 1971 this dream became a reality with the establishment of the Douglas-Coldwell Foundation with Tommy Douglas as it's founding President. In the words of Tommy Douglas, the Foundation would be "a gadfly to provoke discussion…to keep the movements on the left-whether the co-operative movement, the trade union movement or the political movement- from getting in a rut."
