Sergeant Bluff Fire & Rescue is an all volunteer fire department founded in 1924. The department provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to the City of Sgt. Bluff, Woodbury Township, and surrounding areas through mutual aid agreements.
Reaching and helping individuals that live along the 1,100 rivers of the Amazon Region of Brazil with a medical boat. They do 10-15 trips each year between February and October Each trip is about 10 days and individuals come from the US to help them on these trips. They treat an average of 400-600 people on each trip. Both medical and dental.

Remember Niger Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works unify people and mobilize resources to expand quality educational opportunities in Niger, West Africa. We accomplish our mission by partnering with local Nigerien organizations and school committees. Working together, we build and furnish schools, provide sponsorships for student tuition assistance, keep girls in school through our Girls' Advancement program, provide teacher training through Teach-the-Teacher, and ensure that students have meals. Pack Away Hunger's mission is to eliminate hunger in Indiana and around the world through nutritious food, education and service. Nutritious Food. In the United States, our Nutri-Plenty Meals help stock the shelves of local food banks and pantries. In developing nations, our meals are used to offset chronic malnutrition in children, and to nourish communities suffering from hunger. Education. Each year, through community partnerships and meal packing events, we educate more than 8,000 people about the toll hunger takes on individuals and communities. Our hope is that this information will inspire people to advocate and care for the hungry in their own communities and around the world. Service. Meal packing events are a powerful and hands-on way for organizations and individuals to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Appropriate for all ages and all abilities, our events allow diverse groups to serve together, build camaraderie and promote team building.
