For over 40 years, Community Living Durham North has been providing supports and services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families in the townships of Scugog, Brock and Uxbridge.
Volunteer Ottawa is a direct support organization for more than 340 not-for-profit and voluntary organizations in the community and is a critical link between volunteer energy and community need through its promotion of volunteerism to individuals, groups, workplaces and schools. Volunteer Ottawa is a resource for training, consultation and materials for all not-for-profit organizations and public institutions in the Ottawa region, and helps them build their capacity to engage volunteers successfully. Volunteer Ottawa is a leader, partner and educator on issues that impact on the voluntary sector and is experienced in managing multi-year projects aimed at building the organizational capacity of agencies in Eastern Ontario. Volunteer Ottawa is a charitable non-profit organization that relies on grants and donations to support its 53 years of experience in community development and impact.
Dawson Community Centre is a non-profit recreational and educational organization that serves over 700 members yearly as well as many non-members. We strive to offer a welcoming atmosphere where people can meet, learn and grow as individuals and support each other to form a stronger sense of community.
CERA is an Ontario-based non-profit organization established to promote human rights in housing. Our staff and volunteers work with low income and other disadvantaged households to challenge discriminatory practices in the rental housing market, and to help these individuals and families access and retain the housing they need. We do this through directly assisting individuals experiencing discrimination, representing human rights claimants at the Ontario Human Rights Commission, public education, research, and test case litigation related to poverty, housing and human rights. CERA is the only organization in Canada that focuses on fighting discrimination in housing and using human rights legislation to challenge housing insecurity and homelessness. All of our services are free. CERA is sustained through project funding and direct fundraising. We receive no core funding.
CILT is a consumer-controlled, community-based resource organization. We help people with disabilities to learn Independent Living skills and integrate into the community. CILT operates on the philosophy of the Independent Living movement which was developed in response to traditional rehabilitation services models. CILT aims to develop and implement dignified social services that empower individuals. The donation you generously make goes entirely towards supporting the organization and its life-enriching programs and projects for persons with a disability.
Main services offered: -Telephone intervention for suicidal individuals, their families and bereavement suicide -Orientation and reference to the resources of the environment -Intervention following a suicide and followed by mourning -Clinical support to stakeholders -Training and documentation -Information meeting -Development and support of networks of aid and mutual assistance -Conducting material and of prevention and intervention tools

Centrepiece of a Leadership Movement The Global Leadership Summit is a two-day, world-class leadership event experienced by more than 170,000 leaders around the world, representing more than 14,000 churches. It’s telecast LIVE from Willow’s campus (near Chicago) every August. Throughout the fall, Summit events take place in an additional 300+ cities, 92 countries—and are translated into 45 languages. This event is crafted to infuse vision, skill development, and inspire leaders for the sake of local church transformation.
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is dedicated to the protection of all children, educating the public, offering prevention programs and advocating on the behalf of missing and exploited children. Our staff and case workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide ongoing support to families, social service agencies and law enforcement in regards to missing children’s cases.
Our Community–Based Special Projects are financed through donations and fundraising. Nominal fees are charged to cover registration and operating costs.
The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound is a community service agency mandated by the Province of Ontario through the Child and Family Services Act, 2000 to ensure the best interests, protection, and well being of children. The Society also provides programming for youth who have had conflicts the law, as well as offering volunteer programs for early child intervention. We service the districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound through our individual offices and as well as services within these communities.
Since 1986 the CCS has been dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries. We are a trusted source of support with over 150 staff in three locations offering programs and services to clients across Calgary and surrounding areas. In our 27 year history our core programs have helped over 57,000 vulnerable children, including over 2,300 children and 1,500 families in 2013. Our clients are as diverse as the city we serve. Families from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds reach out to us. The CCS offers non-judgemental programs and services aimed at helping our clients through a crisis regardless of what their circumstances may be. We believe that asking for help is a sign of strength and we aim to work collaboratively with local agencies to ensure families are provided with the best services and resources to meet their needs.
