Summer camp is a unique opportunity to gain positive life-long skills and memories. Our funding benefits young people who need the chance to be in the outdoors in the company of good leaders and other campers. Campers learn cooperation, acceptance of others, sportsmanship, tolerance and an environmental ethic in a way that is difficult to duplicate elsewhere. It's an opportunity to develop self-confidence, group belonging and take risks in a safe environment. A camp experience is both worthwile and valuable; it's about creating wonder, joy, hope and confidence. Campers identified to Kids In Camp and selected for support will attend an accredited member camp of the Ontario Camps Association. Camp time is an experience which lasts a lifetime.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund is a national, volunteer driven charity providing financial support to breast cancer patients. There are two sides to every story about breast cancer. For the most part, the story is about pink ribbons and working towards a future where it doesn’t exist. But that ‘s just one side of the story…and it’s not ours. Ours is a story of breast cancer patients taking on debt to pay for food and shelter and medications - as well as other expenses. Ours is the all too common story of struggling, not to survive, but to afford to survive. But, it’s a story were here to change. The Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund provides short-term financial support for breast cancer patients… so they can focus, simply and solely, on fighting their disease.

Growing Chefs! has a vision for a future with healthier kids making healthier choices. Our program teaches children about growing and cooking healthy food by placing chef volunteers into elementary schools. Through our hands-on Growing Chefs! Classroom Gardening and Cooking Program, we teach kids about where their food comes from and the benefits of eating fresh, nutritious meals. Growing Chefs! pairs teams of chef volunteers with elementary school classrooms to grow vegetables, do cooking lessons, and get kids excited about healthy eating. On the chefs’ first visit, they help students plant indoor windowsill gardens consisting of fast-growing vegetables. The chefs return to the classroom every two weeks for 3.5 months to help the students care for the garden and lead lessons on nutrition, gardening, and healthy food systems. At the end of the program, the chefs help the students harvest their vegetables and teach them to cook delicious meals with the food they’ve grown.
