Founded in 1954, Lyric Opera of Chicago's mission is to express and promote the life-changing, transformational, revelatory power of great opera. Lyric exists to provide a broad, deep, and relevant cultural service to Chicago and the nation, and to advance the development of the art form. Lyric is dedicated to producing and performing consistently thrilling, entertaining, and thought-provoking opera with a balanced repertoire of core classics, lesser-known masterpieces, and new works; to creating an innovative and wide-ranging program of community engagement and educational activities; and to developing exceptional emerging operatic talent.
UNITE the architecture, art, poetry and music of our time. The cross-inspiration of the arts through history, a pursuit of fundamental importance, is a core purpose of ‘T’ Space. REFLECT at a time when art and architecture have become increasingly financial instruments. ‘T’ Space is dedicated to reflecting on the meanings of art and architecture, with the aim of educating the public by facilitating dialogue among living artists. Black Farmer Stories is a 501c3 nonprofit that aims to preserve the history, legacy and agricultural knowledge of Black farmers across the U.S. by telling their stories and documenting the vital role they have held, and continue to hold, in the origin of our country’s food. Not just about agricultural heritage - this ongoing multimedia project shares the individual stories of Black producers, unpacking the realities of each of their experiences.
KALW is on a mission to inspire audiences and tell the human story in all its breadth and richness. Justice, equity, and community creation are at the heart of everything KALW does. The station is shaping public media’s future by building upon its legacy for innovation and what’s next, as well as by training, nurturing and amplifying local voices and makers. The station will continue to seek out and showcase the best from around the globe, and serve as an essential and trusted source for news, music, culture, podcasting and digital media.

The mission of our organization is to advocate for our aging out foster youth and retired elderly by developing their television and field production skills to create jobs. We want to nourish our community and students with a platform to showcase their talent and creativity one opportunity at a time.
Hope Media Group is a family of media brands that engage people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread Hope through radio, events, online content and mobile apps. Headquartered in Houston, the brands include Houston-focused KSBJ, the national network of WayFM stations, the Spanish Christian station “Vida Unida”, digital content outlets Way Loud, NGEN Radio (Christian hip-hop and pop), Hope on Demand, and God Listens Prayer App, plus a concert and event brand, Hope Events.
ART21 is a nonprofit contemporary art organization dedicated to introducing broad public audiences to today’s visual artists—stimulating critical reflection as well as conversation through the production of films, publications, digital resources, and educational programs. ART21 programs inspire creative thinking and educate: a new generation about contemporary art and art making; teachers about how to engage students with the art of their time; the public at large about the life of the creative mind. Over the past decade, ART21 has established itself as the preeminent chronicler of contemporary art and artists through its peabody award-winning, PBS-broadcast television series, ART21 "art in the twenty-first century".
CID's mission is to support the production and distribution of high quality independently produced documentaries and the filmmakers who create them. The cooperative arrangement between CID and independent film and video producers is unique. Once involved in a project, CID becomes totally committed to its successful completion by working with producers at all phases including helping to raise and manage project funds and offer creative, technical, and distribution support. We promote our films through our website (396,000 visitors this year) and social media (7000 friends and followers). CID also provides professional development programs and collaborates with other organizations on initiatives that strengthen the production environment for independent filmmakers including offering monthly workshops, a weeklong retreat seminar for 10 filmmakers held each summer in Vermont, and the pride of the ocean film festival and seminars which provide a unique resource for LGBT filmmakers. CID works with filmmakers from all regions of the country. A total of 142 films are currently in the development and production phases. The demographics of the filmmakers and the subject matter of their films are equally diverse. CID films have been seen on PBS as part of American Masters, American Experience, Independent Lens and POV, received national cablecasts from HBO, Sundance, Discovery and Logo channels, and have appeared at every major film festival receiving awards from Emmy’s to the Peabody.
Our mission is to present new independent films and to organize, sponsor, and present seminars, panel discussions, and artistic activities related to films and filmmaking at our annual lighthouse international film festival, in order to foster greater cultural understanding and artistic awareness within the general public and to draw a diverse audience
