Central Midwest Ballet offers our community excellence in dance performance and training. Founded in 2004, Bach With Verse brings hope, inspiration and laughter through music and stories to war-torn and remote areas, and prison populations. To fulfill this mission, BWV presents double bassist Richard “Dobbs” Hartshorne in outreach concerts for all ages in schools, orphanages, prisons, refugee camps, rehabilitation and community centers throughout the world. Performances are crafted with a unique blend of classical music and humorous musical stories that are easily accessible to diverse audiences. BWV programs have reached West Bank Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Africa, Bolivia, Uganda and prisons throughout the United States.

Bridging Voices, or Portland GSA Youth Chorus, believes that bridges are better than walls. It is a non-audition chorus (meaning no one is cut) and it creates a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ youth and straight allies, ages 13 - 22, to develop their authentic voices through music. For some, it will be the first time they are comfortable being themselves.
