Our Mission As the first multidisciplinary cultural space in Downtown Staten Island, the Canvas Institute is dedicated to transforming lives through art, education, and civic engagement. We offer dynamic programming both in and out of schools, including Social Emotional Wellbeing initiatives, teen and adult mental health support, anti-violence and conflict resolution training, and parental support programs. Our work not only uplifts students and families but also addresses systemic challenges faced by underserved communities. By uniting youth groups, artists, scholars, civic leaders, and community members, we create a ripple effect of positive change and inspire new possibilities. With a proven track record in policy expertise, coalition building, and strategic collaboration, the Canvas Institute stands as a trusted partner for those committed to driving impactful community development. The mission of the Jazz Arts Group is to advance and celebrate the art of jazz through performance and education.

No Divide KC uses the arts as a vehicle for stimulating social awareness, participation and community building. No Divide KC partners with Kansas City-based artists and organizations to create artistic events that are focused on the stories of underserved and misrepresented communities in Kansas City.

IsraAID's mission is to effectively support and meet the changing needs of populations as they move from crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation, and eventually, to sustainable living. This commitment is expressed in emergency relief and sustainable development, with an emphasis on the transition between them.

The Art of Elysium is a Los Angeles based non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, founded in 1997, that encourages artists to dedicate their time and talent to under-served, at risk, and hospitalized children whose lives are constantly disrupted by hardship or chronic and often terminal illness. Every week we bring hands on workshops, led by local artists, free of charge to these children.

The Marsha P Johnson Institute protects and defends the human rights of Black transgender people through organizing, advocating, creating an intentional community to heal, developing transformative leadership, and promoting collective power. Their intention is to reclaim Marsha P. Johnson and their relationship as Black trans people to her life and legacy. They were founded in response to the murders of Black trans women and women of color and how it is connected to their exclusion from social justice issues including racial, gender, reproductive rights, and gun violence.

NPR's mission is to work in partnership with member stations to create a more informed public-one challenged and invigorated by a deeper understanding and appreciation of events, ideas and cultures.
