TanzZeit e.V. is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by dancer and choreographer Livia Patrizi to promote contemporary dance in Berlin schools. As a founding member of the Bundesverband Tanz in Schulen+ e.V. TanzZeit is committed to anchoring the art of dance in the framework curriculum. Since 2010 TanzZeit has received regular funding from the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family and has become firmly established in the education system. Since 2006 TanzZeit has been at home in Podewil and is a permanent cooperation partner of Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH. TanzZeit meanwhile unites five projects: DANCE IN SCHOOLS brings contemporary dance to the classroom and offers students a stage to perform at an annually dance festival. ROOTS is a non-profit organization that brings the community together through creativity, movement and sharing knowledge. We specifically advocate for BIPoC in Berlin and focus on the holistic well-being of the community. Our work is on the one hand about a positive self-perception, and on the other hand, about very concrete practical help for those affected by racism and discrimination. Self-awareness and developing a positive self-image is significant, especially for people who experience racist hostility. We encourage this through our workshops on the topics of movement, creativity and healing justice. Supported by professionals, participants learn to develop a positive body image and their artistic potential, which also leads to a more positive self-perception.

At ReFOCUS Media Labs, our mission is to empower asylum seekers and refugees by equipping them with modern media skills to overcome the challenges they face, such as limited access to education, language barriers, financial constraints, mental health support, skills training and job placement. Through our three Media Labs (Lesvos, Athens, Krakow and Berlin), workshops and original content productions on location we provide comprehensive education in photography, filmmaking, audio engineering, and graphic design. Moreover, we actively collaborate with our students in the production of impactful dramatic films and documentaries. Our media labs provide critical support for community members who normally struggle to integrate into their new host countries and find their way into competitive industries. Through working on our own professional media projects including feature films and our original podcast "Fractured", community members gain valuable real-world experience working on collaborative teams, develop their own professional portfolios, and earn living wages to ensure financial security in the process.
