Under the direction of percussionist and founder Jerry Pergolesi, Contact has performed at some of the world's most prestigious new music festivals, including the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (UK), Open Ears Festival of Sound (Kitchener), and the Bang On A Can Marathon (New York). In addition to concert productions, Contact Contemporary Music presents INTERsection, a twelve-hour music marathon at Yonge-Dundas Square and Music From Scratch, its annual summer workshop for youth.

The Library is a vital community owned facility which offers resources, technology, programs and space. There is a long history of community investment in the success and evolution of the Library. NCWC EDUCATION FUND

The NCWC Education fund works closely with the National Council of Women of Canada, which represents over 750,000 Canadians through its 24 Nationally Organized Affiliated Societies, Provincial Councils in 6 Provinces and 15 Local Councils of Women. Joint research has been done and public education programs held over the past 10 years on: *Young Women and Violence Prevention *Securing Our Future-the Economics of Later Life action plans/curricula developed to help young women plan for a healthy economic future *'Canada's Water'07 AGM panel re water shortages,impacts of mega dams, drought, mining, a need for a National Water Strategy *'The Water/Energy Connections Project' 08-10 i.e. NCWC Education Fund AGM programs re Great Lakes, Nuclear,'Soft' Water/Energy Paths,Climate;Public Meetings, Newsletters, Web site, Cross -Canada Survey on water/energy use & public opinion on government energy and water policies (*Project funded by the Walter & Duncan Gordon Foundation)

PETAWAWA HERITAGE SOCIETY

PETAWAWA HERITAGE SOCIETY/VILLAGE The Petawawa Heritage Society, an incorporated entity with charitable donation status and has been in operation for 12 years. The mandate for the Society includes collecting, and preserving materials pertaining to the history of Town of Petawawa. This is achieved through the Petawawa Heritage Village which is Situated on 3.5 picturesque acres in the heart of the of Petawawa where history is alive and ready for your visit. Stroll the pathways of the past and experience life in Petawawa as it once was from 1850 to 1910. The Petawawa Heritage Village provides an opportunity to visit 8 historical and replica buildings from the 19th and early 20th century. You will also find volunteers interpreting the history of the area through historical interpretive programming, education & publications. Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health

Monica Place Waterloo offers a Residential Program for pregnant young women and for new moms and their babies who are in need of safe and supportive housing. Twenty-four hour support is available along with individual counselling and group programs. Parent education and life skills classes are offered to all residents. Monica Place Waterloo offers a Community Program in partnership with the Waterloo Region District School Board. This program encourages young women who are pregnant or parenting to complete secondary school credits in a safe and supportive environment. Free nursery services are provided for students. Monica Place Cambridge is a subsidized housing complex program for young women and their children seeking transitional housing and support. The complex has fifteen, two-bedroom apartment units. Individual counselling and group programs are offered as well as parenting and life skills classes.

KW Counselling Services

We are a full service counselling agency working with individuals (children, youth, and adults), couples and families. We provide service in our service site on Charles St. in Kitchener, in schools and community centres across Waterloo Region. We provide service in areas of family violence, young offenders, emotion and stress management for children and adults. We offer many workshops and multi-week courses to help develop skills to enhance personal relationship, including our renowned 'Parenting with Passion' Series.
