Clean Oceans International (COI) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce ocean plastic pollution through science, community engagement, and practical solutions. Our work focuses on two complementary approaches: Community Science & Data (EPAP) Through our Environmental Plastic Assessment Program (EPAP), we train volunteers, students, and partner organizations to measure plastic pollution on coastlines using standardized survey methods. This work generates consistent, comparable data that helps communities understand pollution trends, evaluate cleanup efforts, and advocate for informed solutions. Developing Practical Waste Solutions (PPWC) COI is actively developing small-scale plastic waste conversion systems designed for communities with limited waste infrastructure. This work is currently in the research and development phase, with the goal of creating a safe, adaptable, and deployable system. We are collaborating with partners in places such as Ulithi Atoll and Baghdad, where local teams are currently conducting plastic assessments and cleanups to better understand their waste streams and inform future system design and potential deployment. From Data to Action COI connects field data with on-the-ground action—supporting coastal cleanups, long-term beach adoption efforts, and partnerships that turn information into impact. By combining measurement, education, and implementation, we help communities move from awareness to informed decision-making.

New England Wildlife Centers (NEWCS) is a nonprofit wildlife hospital and education center located in Weymouth and Barnstable, MA. We treat sick, injured and orphaned wildlife from Metro-Boston to Cape Cod and the Islands.We give animals and people a place to thrive. We strive to be a safe haven for wild animals caught in human created crosshairs and for our community. Our environmental and science education gives students the tools to be part of the solution.

Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (aka AWARE Wildlife Center) rehabilitates Georgia's injured and orphaned native wildlife and educates the community about habitat preservation and peaceful coexistence. AWARE is the leading wildlife rehabilitation center in the state and the only one in the Atlanta area that accepts all species of native wildlife.Working in cooperation with state and federal agencies such as US Fish and Wildlife Service and Georgia Department of Natural Resources, AWARE provides wildlife rehabilitation services otherwise unavailable to the public. AWARE is an informational resource that educates children and adults alike in all matters of conservation, habitat preservation and restoration, peaceful coexistence with wildlife and environmental stewardship.

VISIONS OF THE WORLD was started with the mission to raise awareness, change perceptions, educate and support those who need representation. Our current mission are the animals that are losing their habitats and need protecting. While creating the series of fine art photography books LIFE Behind Bars, I realized the importance of the thankless work done by the wild animal sanctuaries and conservations groups to save species and how crucial it is for me to give back and support their efforts to protect and preserve endangered species and their habitats. A portion of the proceeds from book sales and associated merchandise will go to the wildlife conservation institutions that protect and preserve these precious animals. - Julian Starks

Dolphin Project is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to the welfare and protection of dolphins worldwide. Founded by Richard (Ric) O'Barry on Earth Day, April 22, 1970, the organization aims to educate the public about captivity and, where feasible, free captive dolphins. The mission of the Dolphin Project is to end dolphin exploitation and slaughter, as dolphins are routinely captured, harassed, slaughtered and sold into captivity around the world – all in the name of profit. Dolphin Project works not only to halt these slaughters but also to rehabilitate captive dolphins, investigate and advocate for economic alternatives to dolphin exploitation and to put a permanent end to dolphin captivity.

The Humane Farming Association (HFA) - now over 200,000 members strong - is the nation's largest and most effective organization dedicated to the protection of farm animals. Founded in 1985, HFA has gained national recognition and respect through its hard work and its highly-visible, highly-successful campaigns.HFA's goals are: 1) to protect farm animals from cruelty; 2) to protect the public from the dangerous misuse of antibiotics, hormones, and other chemicals used on factory farms; 3) to protect the environment from the impacts of industrialized animal factories.HFA's comprehensive programs include: anti-cruelty investigations and exposs, national media and ad campaigns, direct hands-on emergency care and refuge for abused farm animals, consumer boycotts, legislation, and youth humane education. Achieving an unprecedented drop of nearly 70% in the sale of drugged, anemic, and tortured baby calves, HFA's groundbreaking investigations have just resulted in the first-ever felony convictions of veal industry leaders. HFA's efforts against Bovine Growth Hormones have been pivotal in mobilizing the public against this cruel and dangerous dairy hormone. And HFA's campaigns to stop the abuse of millions of pigs, chickens, and other victims of factory farming continue to turn the tide against the abusive factory farm industry. HFA's Farm Animal Refuge is the largest farm animal rescue facility in the world. Over seven square miles, HFA's Refuge offers hands-on emergency care, rehabilitation, and refuge for abused farm animals.
