The Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary

The mission of the Kindness Ranch is to provide a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for animals who have been used in laboratory research while fostering compassion for all animals.Consistent with our mission, we work to rehabilitate our dogs and cats in a home-like environment. Cats and dogs at The Kindness Ranch live together with their human caretakers in spacious yurts specially designed to meet their needs. They receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives.The Kindness Ranch also provides an adoption program for all the animals we can rehabilitate. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.***Kindness Ranch IS a 501c3 non profit organization. A request to change from a POF to PC was filed in 2007 and was approved by the IRS August 2014. This can be confirmed by going straight to the IRS website. Dogs For The Deaf

Dogs for Better Lives (formerly Dogs for the Deaf) is a national award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit organization rescuing, professionally training, and providing Assistance Dogs since 1977. We have three Assistance Dog programs: Hearing Assistance Dogs placed nationally, Facility Assistance Dogs placed nationally, and Autism Assistance Dogs placed in Oregon, Washington, and California. Donations assist the organization in numerous ways, including: rescuing dogs all across the western United States, veterinarian expenses, professional training, placement with clients, and follow-ups during the lifetime of the dog. There is no charge to the client for one of our dogs.

Hopalong focuses on intervening before an animal reaches the shelter and also rescues animals who would otherwise be euthanized at shelters due to pet overpopulation. Since 1993, Hopalong has rescued approximately 28,000 animals.

Animal Samaritans was founded in 1978 by local animal lovers determined to end the suffering, abuse and unnecessary death of local shelter animals and educate the pet owners of tomorrow on responsible pet ownership. After more than four decades of service, Animal Samaritans has grown to become the desert’s largest, most-comprehensive animal welfare organization by adopting out more than 15,000 homeless dogs and cats, rescuing more than 14,000 adoptable, at-risk shelter animals, and spaying and neutering more than 200,000 pets. We’ve educated more than 250,000 school children on kindness to animals and responsible pet ownership, and made tens of thousands of pet therapy visits to people in need. Animal Samaritans views all living creatures with compassion and respect, with a primary focus on dogs, cats, and the people who love them.

The mission of the United Pegasus Foundation is to provide a safe haven for equines coming off the racetracks or horses that have been retired from breeding. The United Pegasus Foundation believes that no equine should be denied a second career or a dignified retirement, no matter the reason. Since 1994, we have proudly provided retirements, rehabilitation and adoptions to hundreds of former race horses, and thousands of other breeds, keeping them from an uncertain destiny.

PawsCo is a 100 percent volunteer-run 501(c)3 animal welfare organization in Denver. PawsCo is dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation with a comprehensive approach, which includes three divisions: Spay/Neuter, Pet Food Drive, and Adoptions. The different components of PawsCo work together to improve animal welfare in Colorado by reducing the number of unplanned litters through spay/neuter efforts, keeping animals in their homes through pet food drives, and serving as a resource to shelters through foster-based adoptions. In 2016, PawsCo performed 547 spay/neuter operations, collected and distributed more than 38,000 pounds of pet food within the community, and helped more than 250 animals find adoptive homes.
