A GROUP DEDICATED TO HOUNDS To search for that perfect bond between family and hound.
An all-volunteer, non-profit, no kill organization whose mission is to alleviate the suffering of neglected, injured, sick, orphaned, abused stray animals in Western New York.
Our mission is to provide a safe environment for at-risk, neglected, abandoned and injured horses; to prevent as many as possible from going to slaughter or being euthanized. We will rehabilitate them when possible and find permanent homes for them. We will also promote non-cruelty to animals by focusing efforts on raising awareness and disseminating information to the public concerning the nature and proper care of horses and the plight these animals face at this time. Additionally, we will help community members maintain their horses at home when illness or financial difficulties arise temporarily and we provide funding for gelding stallions to prevent indiscriminate breeding situations.
Their mission is to prevent cruelty to animals. The rescue shall accomplish its mission by finding quality, forever homes for displaced dogs in which all adopted dogs will be indoor family members, to promote post-adoption training to make good canine citizens and provide neutered pets in order to control populations. The rescue is a foster-based rescue and will do home visits and adoption follow-ups on all adopted companions.
Their passion is to rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful, which includes, but not limited to, owner surrenders, strays, kill shelters, puppy mills and backyard breeders and find them loving forever homes.
Bit O'Luck Equine Rescue's mission is to provide an environment through which neglected and/or abused equines are removed from those situations, rehabilitated, retrained and then offered up for adoption to qualified care-givers or if not adoptable they are given the opportunity to live out their lives at our facility with dignity and respect.
They turn no ferret away, no matter the health, age, or lack of training. Medical needs are met, and manners are taught. We also believe that educating the potential pet owner is one of the most crucial things a rescue organization can do.
A focus on education targeted towards school children as a group and the community in general, emphasizing on humane care for pets including the importance of spaying and neutering.
Poodle Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless Poodles within the six New England states. Millions of companion animals-many purebred-are euthanized each year, and at least half are adoptable. Many of our dogs are former impulse purchases by owners who didn?t consider the ten to fifteen year commitment of owning a Poodle. Some were abandoned or mistreated. Poodles are referred to us through our hotline and from area dog officers, veterinarians, shelters, other rescue groups and our network of volunteers. Each dog is evaluated for behavior and temperament and receives a comprehensive medical exam and all necessary treatment. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are cared for by our dedicated foster care volunteers in their homes throughout New England. Our Poodles are carefully matched to the new family?s home environment and lifestyle. Our goal is to place the right Poodle in the right home.
Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue (NEBTR) is comprised of volunteers based in NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, and parts of MD, and serves Boston Terriers in need within reach of our helping hands. Most dogs in foster care for placement are adolescent to adult dogs in need of re-homing in life for a multitude of reasons and will need caring hands to guide them as they transition into new homes. All of our rescue dogs are fostered and evaluated for a 2 week minimum to allow us to assess their personality and provide them with basic foundation skills - House/Crate training, basic manners - to ease their transition into new homes. It is our belief such work in foster care better prepares dogs for success and helps forms lasting bonds.
