Dharma Voices for Animals (DVA) is a nonprofit organization committed both to practicing the teachings of the Buddha (the Dharma) and to speaking out when the actions of those in Dharma communities and the policies of Dharma centers lead to animal suffering. We speak out about the harm we cause other sentient beings when we eat them, use their body parts as clothing, or use products that are tested on them. A Kitty’s Purrsuit of Happiness (KPOH) is a veteran founded and operated, non-kill rescue dedicated to improving the lives of abused, abandoned, ill and injured cats. We promote Spay and Neuter and Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return programs as the most humane method of effecting positive change in cat populations. We provide medical care and long-term accommodations for special needs cats under our guardianship.

Aside from food our #1 need is vet care! Seattle Dogs has a mandatory spay and neuter policy for all animals needing vet care. We place a strong emphasis on helping to control the population and abuse from over breeding. We are also a foster based rescue for dogs that are abandoned, abused or owner surrender. Once healed, healthy, emotionally ready, their placed for adoption. We believe every pet living homelesss should have a voice, lots of love, good food and vet care. We strive to find the appropriate home for any animal able to be placed. We also provide sanctuary for human imprinted non-human primates.
