We strive to foster a community in which the need for sheltering abandoned, neglected and homeless and abused animals is diminished; and we work ceaselessly to place medically and behaviorally healthy, treatable or manageable animals in loving homes. We provide leadership in cruelty investigation initiatives, educational outreach, and pet population control. We promote responsible pet stewardship by providing behavioral issues-counseling as needed for adopted animals and their owners, as well as behavior training for shelter dogs to increase adoption rates and ultimately nurture and enhance the human-animal bond.
We harness the unique power of equine therapy for those facing acute medical, developmental or emotional challenges. Our specially trained miniature horses are taken directly to the facility (or home) of anyone within reach, many now coming directly to our barn. Compassionate horse therapy is proven to lower heart rates, blood pressure, anxiety, PTSD and depression, while mitigating feelings of loneliness, fear and isolation. Profound benefits are gained almost immediately for our hospice and Alzheimer's patients, as well as cognitively disabled youth or emotionally traumatized children, many suffering from the abusive horrors of sex trafficking. 100% of your gift goes directly towards horse care; our trainer/handler works solely as a volunteer, rewarded simply by the Grace of those we serve. Please Help Us lift up a Life!
