The mission of Furry Friends Foster and Rescue Inc. is to save urgent dogs in high kill shelters, primarily in the State of Connecticut, and other pets in bad situations needing a new home. Further, their mission is to attend to the medical and behavioral needs of these animals and place them in wonderful, loving forever homes. They strive to educate the public about proper care of their pets, including encouraging spaying and neutering of all pets, providing information regarding low-cost spay-neuter options, and about programs that can help pet owners with limited resources to keep their pets in their home.

Since 1997 we have been bringing unconditional love to all those we meet in the Houston area through pet therapy. We are a 501(c)(3) volunteer run organization, recognized by the American Kennel Club. In 2022 we logged over 10,000 visits to hospitals, libraries, schools, senior living communities, memory care, hospice, universities, rehab facilities and those who request and support our mission. Our pet therapy teams are trained in house and certified by passing the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test as well as additional emphasis on these skills as applied to pet therapy visits, safety and integrity. We are Houston's largest pet therapy organization and have been recognized for our service in the community. We keep our membership fees low. Donations help support our work.

Established in 1935, the SPCA Albrecht Center has spent over 85 years saving lives. This success was achieved through the dedicated efforts of numerous SPCA employees and volunteers. We are a non-profit organization operating under IRS Section 501(c)(3). We receive no support from state or federal agencies or from the ASPCA. We depend upon local donations to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Our Board of Directors has undertaken the long-term goal of reducing the pet overpopulation problem in the CSRA through education of the need to spay and neuter and by providing affordable and accessible surgery in its high volume clinic. We are a No-Kill shelter.

To improve the quality of life for Fresno County's animals by providing a full range of progressive animal control services paired with humane animal care to save as many lives as possible. Our focus is on education, animal reunification, and adoption, as well as community safety. We protect the public, educate and assist our community's pet owners, and work towards making Fresno County a no-kill community.

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is dedicated to improving the lives of animals locally, nationally and internationally; alleviating their suffering and elevating their status in society through the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need and through the education of their community on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, advocating the value of all animal life, in hopes to end the neglect and abuse of all animals and to end the devastating pet overpopulation through spay and neuter advocacy.

Puppies Behind Bars trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and for first responders, as well as explosive-detection canines for law enforcement. Puppies enter prison at eight weeks and live with their inmate puppy raisers for approximately 24 months. As the puppies mature into well-loved, well-behaved dogs, their raisers learn what it means to give back to society rather than take from it.

Established in 1986 by Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas, OFI’s mission is to support the conservation, protection, and understanding of orangutans and their rainforest habitat while caring for wild-born, ex-captive orangutan orphans as they make their way back to the forest. OFI is dedicated to ensuring the survival of biologically-viable orangutan populations in the wild and safeguarding the welfare of orangutanswherever they are found. Our field work takes place in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo and involves a multi-pronged approach, including: (1) animal rescue, sanctuary, rehabilitation, repatriation and protection; (2) conservation education; (3) orangutan research; and (4) habitat protection, acquisition and restoration. In order to preserve forest ecosystems we empower local communities in Borneo through economic development and education initiatives. We raise awareness of orangutan and forest issues throughout the world through field research, the publication of books, scientific reports, articles, and newsletters, as well as lectures, conferences, events, workshops, and seminars.

Santa Monica Mountains Fund (SAMO Fund) is dedicated to the mission of preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA). Our mission encompasses a commitment to safeguarding the unique ecosystem of the area, fostering a deep connection between people and nature, and supporting the National Park Service in its endeavors. This includes a focus on youth education, scientific research, improvement of park facilities, community stewardship, and the preservation of indigenous cultural resources. This vision is rooted in the belief that sustainable practices and community engagement are key to preserving the ecological and cultural richness of the Santa Monica Mountains for future generations.

Wildlife Alliance’s mission is to protect and preserve forests and wildlife for future generations. We work directly with communities and governments to improve forest management and institute good governance to comprehensively address the devastation of ecosystems and combat the illegal wildlife trade. Our programs in Southeast Asia and the Russian Far East fight forest crime in high biodiversity areas, and actively promote diversified agriculture, community-based ecotourism, and reforestation. We create economic incentives and build political will within communities to preserve the environment.
