Adopt-A-Pet is an all-volunteer not-for-profit animal shelter and adoption agency dedicated to saving the lives of lost, abandoned or otherwise homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Founded in 1981, we have saved the lives of over 15,000 animals. All adopt-a-pet animals remain with us for as long as it takes to find them suitable permanent new homes.
Cairn Rescue USA, founded in November 2002, is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization which rescues purebred Cairn Terrier dogs and Cairn Terrier mixes nationwide that are homeless or soon-to-be-homeless, rehabilitates them in the private homes of its volunteers, procures them food and necessary veterinary care, and finds and screens loving forever homes to adopt them. CRUSA rescues its Cairns from animal shelters and similar facilities, as well as from puppymills and backyard breeders which often dispose of their old breeding stock at auctions. CRUSA also takes into its rescue program Cairns which need rehoming because they are being surrendered by their current owners for any number of reasons, ranging from death or terminal illness of the Cairn's owner, divorce, relocation, economic hardship, behavioral issues or illness of the Cairn, neglect, etc. Most of CRUSA's operations are conducted over the internet.
GSP Rescue New England is an all-volunteer organization committed to finding loving, permanent homes for German Shorthaired Pointers in need. We are a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the commonwealth of Massachusetts and operate in Eastern NY (from Albany East) through all six New England states from CT to ME. Our primary goals are to find permanent homes for these great dogs that have come into an unfortunate situation, to promote responsible pet ownership and to improve the quality of life for the animals. These rescues could be from animal shelters or turned in by owners. We take care of their needs on arrival and then place them in permanent loving homes.
