We also provide assistance to local senior citizen pet owners needing to find placement for their pets due to health, financial or other reasons.Cats Amore Animal Rescue accepts and adopts out FIV+ cats as space or foster opportunities allow.Cats Amore offers unique pet fostering opportunities for humans in certain life stages.All of our cats/kittens are fully vetted and cared for by the rescue and/or foster homes until they find a permanent, loving indoor home.

To provide sanctuary for off-the-track Thoroughbred’s, offering a soft landing for decompression and retirement from racing. Our Goal: To implement therapy programs for the horses and individuals who are survivors of PTSD, domestic violence, learning challenges, economic hardships, etc. Our therapeutic program’s will not include riding. Programs: Serenity Oaks Equine Sanctuary functions as a sanctuary and retirement home for off-the-track horses. Once many racehorses are unable to compete, they find themselves homeless and at-risk of euthanasia or sale in the meat trade. Serenity Oaks works to stop this from ever happening by offering a caring and compassionate sanctuary program where retired racehorses can find safety, security, and love in their golden years.

We are a foster based rescue. We rescue cats and kittens from feral populations, bottle-feeding abandoned kittens and helping cats with special needs. we provide compassionate care to the sick and injured, We focus on TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) to help with the community cat population. A lot of our rescues come from kittens or friendly adults we find in the colonies we manage. Our cat Cali is special needs, she was found at 3 months old, wet, muddy, cold and paralyzed. She’s is now 5 yrs old and living her best life, she lets nothing stop her. We rely heavily on donations to fund our rescue operation.

Edisto Beach Loggerhead Turtle Project

EBLTP (Edisto Beach Loggerhead Turtle Project) is the official sea turtle preservation team for endangered sea turtles in the Town of Edisto Beach. Established in 1982, the organization is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit in South Carolina and obtains annual authorization from the SC DNR to perform conservation activities. Its fifty-some volunteers train extensively to professionally assist nesting turtles, stranded turtles, and hatchlings.​ You’ll see us each day at dawn and often in the evenings walking the beach locating nests, protecting them with stakes, tape, and fencing as well as conducting inventories on recently hatched nests. Authorized Turtle Patrol members wear shirts saying “Volunteer” or “Turtle Patrol.”
